The Standard & Poor's/Case-Shiller Home Price Index released statistics for October showing San Diego County as the third fastest recovering housing market.
Only Phoenix and San Francisco were recovering faster, according to the Index, and only Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., had higher index numbers than San Diego.
The Index is a three-month rolling average and is based on comparing resales of the same properties.
