nature: Speechless Sunday (with a little bit of text) — Right here in San Diego! - 05/22/11 11:38 PM
Right here in San Diego! Early last week while I was out with a Client looking at properties, we saw a woodpecker in the back yard. To me s/he looked like a juvenile bird, busily pecking away at the wood to find some little bugs to eat. That was the only picture I could get before s/he pecked up to the other side of the tree. My Clients were so thrilled to see a woodpecker (I was too!) that I think they were considering writing an offer on the home just because of the woodpecker. Didn't happen, though,

There are desert gardens, a tropical rainforest, plants native to California, a fruit garden, gardens representing the Old World and the New World, gardens with plants from Africa, Australia, Madagascar, South America, Central America — over 3,000 varieties of

Does this look comfortable? If any reader didn't know it yet, Russel and I are always taking pictures of Zoey the Cool Cat. Sometimes she gets into positions that just don't look comfortable at all, like this one: She stayed in that position until the little birdies decided to come by and eat, and their chirping on the other side of the window always gets her excited. ♪♫♫♫♪ If you're looking for a great real estate agent in San Diego, well, let me Google one for you. See that guy over there? He's taking pictures of us! A couple of days ago I went to see Butterfly Jungle at the San Diego Zoo's Safari Park. These two ring-tailed lemurs were out sitting on the ground soaking up the sun. As I raised my camera to take a picture, one leaned over to the other and seemed to whisper something. Walk Score Our updated MLS now features a walk score which tells you how walkable the neighborhood is surrounding any specific property. If your MLS doesn't have a walk score, you can find out right here: Walk Score. The walk score of my neighborhood is a 69, one of the highest that I've seen. Although they didn't have walk scores when we moved here, the walkability of a neighborhood has always been high on my list whether renting or owning. Today was an absolutely beautiful day to put that walkability to use, and following are some pictures of flowers

My Kodak moment Zoey the Cool Cat knew that everything would be alright I passed my state real estate exam in May 2005, but it wasn't until August 2005 when I hung my license with Century 21 Award in Mission Valley. When I finally made the jump to real estate, I had been working for Borders Group (Borders Books & Music, Waldenbooks, and Brentano's) since I was 18. I had worked my way up to store manager and had worked not only in my hometown of Riverside, but Mission Viejo, and many stores in San Diego. After 28 years with Borders,
