restaurants: Herewith I release the Sun god into the ActiveRain community - 07/10/10 12:21 PM
On The Border had always been one of my favorite places to eat Mexican food and drink margaritas. Until late last year. That was when they discontinued their excellent raspberry margaritas. Their reason was that "no one ordered them." Hmmm. My marketing guru and I ordered four every Sunday at 7:00 p.m. Since we knew where we ranked with On The Border, we've been visiting different Mexican restaurants throughout the area, and I'll be doing reviews of them in the future. restaurants: Restaurant review: La Jolla Brew House - 05/09/09 09:03 PM
As some readers might remember, I wrote a restaurant review for the San Diego Reader back in March and won a $25 gift certificate to La Jolla Brew House for the best "user review." Recently my marketing guru and I decided to go to La Jolla for a Saturday night out. Consequently, I don't go to Arrivederci nearly as often as I might otherwise. When the economy was good, I could kind of understand poor service because there were 50 other people standing in line waiting to get in. Don't like

restaurants: Bud's Louisiana Cafe in Tierrasanta - 02/21/09 11:18 PM
My marketing guru and I are always looking for good restaurants to eat to do our part in stimulating the economy. We both love Cajun food, but outside of New Orleans and Ybor City (Tampa), we've found the quality of the food everywhere else to be lacking. Until a couple of days ago. The "Night and Day" section of the newspaper had a review of Bud's Louisiana Cafe. We discovered one of Bud's restaurants about 15 years ago, Bayou Bar & Grill, in downtown San Diego, but they literally disappeared one weekend with no notice about where they might have
