Tom makes some great points about current housing values and future trends.  Those zero down loans are scary.  Isn't that how we got in the crunch we are in?  Haven't we learned anything? Buyers better consider purchasing soon before the low interest rate opportunity passes them by!

Chesterfield, MO Recycles Day - It is time to recycle on November 13, 2010! - 11/10/10 12:42 PM
November 13, 2010 from 9 AM to Noon will be the 14th annual America/Missouri/Chesterfield Recycles Day.  On this day, Chesterfield residents can bring a variety of items to the Parks Administration & Maintenance Facility at 17891 North Outer 40  to be recycled.  Confidential documents can be shredded with Cintas (5 box maximum).  E-cycling electronics can be done with WITS.  Used clothing, paired textile shoes and linens can be recycled with Remains, Inc.  Single stream recycling items will be collected by Allied Waste.  Compact fluorescent light bulbs and plastic garden pots will be collected by Home Depot for recycling as well.  The … (0 comments)

"I Hate Social Media" - 11/06/10 04:11 PM
I have met people who have the same opinion regarding social media.  If they don't want to keep up with people from their past lives, that can be understandable, but look at ALL the other opportunities social media presents itself with in the business aspect.  There are an abundance of people, as you pointed out, that we can reach out to.  Someone commented on your blog they sold a house to a couple in their 20s that had no need for the internet and they were in their 20s... Amendment 3 in Missouri PASSED!!! - 11/05/10 03:04 PM
I am happy to report that Amendment 3 passed by a landslide margin.  Diligent efforts by the Missouri Association of Realtors resulted in a positive result on Election Day Tuesday, November 2.  Thankfully, we will NEVER have a transfer tax on real estate sales in the State of Missouri!  While it was a confusing ballot issue due to it's wording, Missourians took the time to read the initiative and realized that a Yes Vote meant saying NO to new taxes.  Way to go Missouri!!!!

Increase in bathrooms in the St. Louis MLS? - 11/05/10 02:00 PM
MARIS has instituted a change in the last few days that changes how bathrooms are noted  when viewing home listings.  The way bathrooms are shown in St Louis MLS may make it appear that the number of baths have increased.  Why?   2.5 baths are now shown as 3 baths.  If you have a home that has 2 full baths and 2 half baths, it will now be shown as a home with 4 baths.  However, behind the total bathroom count is a notation that looks like this: 
Baths: 3 (2 1) (FH).  This means that there are a total of 3 bathrooms in this home with … (3 comments)
