Florida Contractors Must Be Licensed - 09/02/10 10:54 AM
Calling all Contractors.
Calling all consumers.
Florida has a long-standing law that says to perform contractor type work in the state one must be licensed by the State of Florida.
In case you are a consumer you may not be aware there are thousands of unlicensed contractors in the state.
Handyman-contractor=the same thing.
As a consumer and you sign a work contract with a contractor and something goes wrong, dreadfully wrong, the contract is not enforceable if the contractor is not licensed by the state for the type of work performed.
