I'm  a BIG fan of warm  (actually hot) weather, so it is always sad to see summer go.

 
Soon the beaches will be empty:

 
But the good news is, living here in the Carolinas I'll still have the warm sun for awhile longer.
 
I know many people are looking forward to the cooler weather, but I'll just pop in a Jimmy Buffett CD: I think of the sun, sand and surf.
 
For those of you excited about Fall, enjoy it, me, 9 months til summer.

Amazing how blogging becomes easier the more you do it.

My English teachers in school would have never pegged me as a writer.
A couple of them are rolling over in their graves as I "write".
But, I will say that writing stems from the joy of reading:

Stringing together words is an exciting process. Reading allows an appreciation for the written word to grow.

Even my love of Jimmy Buffett  music is rooted in the lyrics.
I found myself captured more by the words of songs than the melody.

Well, make it a great weekend.

Listings: Take 'em All or ONLY The Motivated - 09/02/08 04:49 PM
One of the great debates in our industry is do we take EVERY listing or ONLY the motivated, priced right, shows right saleable listings.

Should we take : This listing at an over-price?
Or do we refine the listings we take: Like this one priced at a great price?

The key is we all want: that "SOLD" sign. And happy sellers: But we are running a business too.

My firm has decided it is ONLY the right listings for the following reasons:

1. Unrealitic sellers tend to require more time and effort of my staff.

How did that work for you?

I want to do a poll, VOTE yeah or nay on doing OPEN HOUSES.

 
 
But also ask yourself these questions:
 
1)Do I pick a saleable listing to hold open?
 
2)Is it not too far from a main road for access?
 
3)Does it show great?
 
4)Do have I signage?
 
5)Did I pre-invite the neighbors?

6)Did I pre-invite prospects, including other agents?
 
7)Did I bring useful info for prospects?
