Tuesday February 17th, 2009 President Barack Obama signed his $787 billion economic stimulus bill into law in Denver Colorado. This bill was approved with only three Republican votes in the U.S. House of Representatives February 13th, 2009. The bill was signed in the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Denver was the city that the President accepted the Democratic nomination for the presidency. Property crimes in Denver Colorado dropped dramatically by almost 20% and Crimes against persons dropped an astounding 6.6%.
If the last half of 2008 crime continues to drop this will be the third year in a row crime has dropped, not bad for a major metropolitan city.
