Anyone thinking about looking for a getaway place to relax from the stresses of everyday life. If you live on the East Coast area especially you might want to consider Virginia Beach, Va. It's centrally located, has 4 seasons, but none extreme, and prices are now are very reasonable. You have the Atlantic Ocean and Chesapeake Bay for Beach lovers, sailing, deep sea fishing , plenty of seafood restaurants and eclectic eateries and history all around (Williamsburg,Yorktown, Norfolk etc) More and more people from the Richmond area of Va, as an example, (about a 2 hour drive away) are finding the advantages of our area. Boy, has this Real Estate market in the Virginia Beach Area of Va been "interesting"?! I've written in past months about the Housing market here and when are we going to hit bottom? In March of '09 I said, in effect, I don't know but maybe; in July of '09 I said I don't know but probably. It's August of '09, and I'm saying now we're closer to hitting bottom then ever before in this cycle. All the statistical indicators continue to show that the days of large inventories of Homes, low pricing (really low), and 5% range mortgage interest rates are going to be short lived. The

How about a little bit of information about this areas current population, land mass and, of course, where to find real estate ie all the Homes for sale in the cities of Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Norfolk, Portsmouth! (Hint www.googlejim.com)This Area of Southeast Virginia is sometimes called S Hampton Roads, although no matter how much our Chamber of Commerce promotes the name, hardly anyone out of the area knows what S Hampton Roads is or where it is. I've blogged previously concerning so many Virginia Beach real estate sites, especially the national sites, that have partial and/or dated listings in the Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Norfolk, Portsmouth and all surrounding areas of Va. How can you be sure that the site your visiting for Virginia Beach Real Estate or other key real estate phrases have complete, up to date information--ie complete Area MLS. When you go to www.google.com and type in virginia beach real estate or chesapeake real estate, or suffok real estate, or virginia beach homes for sale, etc, etc ---all popular real estate phrases, just add updated daily! ie virginia beach real estate updated daily! or whatever phrase

There are a lot of reasons to live in S Hampton Roads (Virginia beach, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Norfolk, Portsmouth Virginia). The weather is one, 4 seasons without any extremes; Beaches ie Atlantic Ocean, Chesapeake Bay, etc, etc; population base of about a million of diverse and interesting people, with a large landmass that minimizes congestion; etc, etc,----plus a number of young baseball players that sprouted up in the Major Leagues this year and all are blessed with great talent.
