bonus: Agency Bonus vs. Agent Bonus - 04/09/07 03:11 PM

Lately I have noticed a concerning trend toward Selling Agent Bonuses. Were you aware agents cannot offer other agents bonuses. If you remember back to your pre-licensing course, as salespersons we all work for Brokers. That Broker owns our listings and clients. When properties are sold, only the Brokerage is paid and they in turn pay the salesperson according to their Independant Contractor agreement. All bonuses must be offered as selling Agency Bonus. Also, remeber all bonuses must be disclosed to your clients.
