eden prairie real estate: First Time Homebuyers Looking in Minnesota - 02/22/12 04:22 PM
While there isn’t the tax credit motivator, the current market is plenty attractive for first time home buyers. With rents increasing across town and plenty of loan programs such as FHA and VA geared towards making financing available to new home owners, purchase is now a cheaper option than renting in some cases. Minnesota First Time Home Buyers Information For first time home buyers looking to find out about the market and what it would cost to get into their first home, our suggestion is to get in contact with an expert that focuses on the areas you are interested in. eden prairie real estate: What do you think will get buyers buying??? - 08/30/11 11:54 PM
An agent on Trulia today asked what interest rate it would take to get buyers interested? I think it's going to take more than interest rates..there is an equity problem and an employement problem that needs to be solved to get consumer confidence up! Interest rates are already low, yet many buyers are sitting on the fence. It's more a matter of perception in my opinion. With news organizations stating how terrible the market is, the white house commenting that it will be 18-24 months before housing improves, when agents each and every day are telling clients houses are overpriced and to (5 comments)
eden prairie real estate: Minneapolis MN, Homes being lost to “Strategic Default” - 08/04/11 12:43 PM
Minneapolis MN Homes The buzz word in Real Estate this year is “Strategic Default” Its becoming more clear that financially capable homeowners are walking away from their mortgages due to the massive losses in equity. Rather than liquidate other investments or attempt to do a Short Sale many home owners with significant assets are opting for a more calculated financial decision. Rather than fight until the bitter end and wait out the market for an unknown amount of time to recover equity, homeowners who choose to default on purpose simply stop making payments and walk away. eden prairie real estate: Top 5 Threats to Your Home Equity in 2011 and How to Fight Them - 01/09/11 04:16 PM
Selling your home in Minnesota or elsewhere this year? Consider these items when evaluating when to sell and how to protect your equity- 1. Distress Sales in your immediate neighborhood For most Minnesota homeowners your neighborhood will be affected by distress sales such as foreclosures and short sales. One of the pieces of advice that we give our sellers is to watch your neighborhood closely, and don't sell if there is a current foreclosure on the market in your immediate area. Put some time between selling your home and the most recent distressed sale. For example in Eden Prairie and Lake Minnetonka- (2 comments)
eden prairie real estate: Eden Prairie Realtors thoughts for 2011 - 12/20/10 06:59 PM
Eden Prairie Realtors we have spoken with over the previous week seem to feel ok about 2011. Prices of course are still down and will be down for the forseable future but their is renewed interest in the market. Inquiries on upper bracket homes are continuing to rise although transactions are not. Typically we would expect those with money to spend to evaluate the market and start making some moves if they feel the value is strong. By most accounts the values are strong right now and since interest rates are low, this may be a great time to move up (0 comments)
eden prairie real estate: Eden Prairie Homes For Sale-the current market trends - 11/28/10 10:42 PM
Eden Prairie Houses are selling- In recent weeks we have seen an uptick in active buyers in the Eden Prairie market. We have put together several deals and have talked with other Eden Prairie Realtors that are seeing the same trend. Buyers are still looking for value and are demanding market data including sold comps within the past 6 months to justify a decision. If they cannot substantiate the value of a property they are uninterested in by looking at comps, they will simply not buy. Eden Prairie and other similar suburbs have seen the amount of homes for sale go up (1 comments)
