saving money: 904 West Avenue Condo's and Commercial starting in the $160,000. Commission Rebate if you hire me. - 03/05/10 07:05 AM
Went to a great party last night to preview the 904 West Ave Condos. These condominiums are awesome. Every individual unit has their own photovoltaic systems and tank-less water-heater. This is a great way to control your energy costs and carbon footprint. These condos are in a very nice location so close to Local Businesses, Whole Foods, West 6th St and Downtown. 904 West is a small and cozy complex. You don't have the stress of a huge high-rise. Walk out the door and you are almost on street level. There should be some units available or sale by the end of March, but

saving money: Understanding Capital Gains in Real Estate - 03/04/10 09:04 AM
Understanding Capital Gains in Real Estate When you sell a stock, you owe taxes on your gain - the difference between what you paid for the stock and what you sold it for. The same holds true when selling a home (or a second home), but there are some special considerations. How to Calculate GainIn real estate, capital gains are based not on what you paid for the home, but on its adjusted cost basis. To calculate, follow these steps: 1. Purchase price: _______________________ The purchase price of the home is the sale price, not the amount of money you actually

Well just like everyone I am back in the swing of things after the all the New Year doings. I have been in the market for a new laptop for about a year and finally found one. This is a very cool "tiny laptop". I wanted a laptop that was low in price, this was $350 with no tax or shipping, easy to use, and compact. That is what I got. This is going to be great to take everywhere. It will be great for meeting with clients, Trips or just about anywhere. Well have a good day. J.

saving money: Home Equity Loans - 06/30/08 02:18 PM
Home Equity Loans Be cautious in taking out home equity loans. The loans reduce or may even eliminate the equity that you have built up in your home. Equity is the cash you would have if you sold your house and paid off your mortgage loans. If you are unable to make payments, you could lose your home. Compare home equity loans offered by at least four reputable lending institutions. Consider the interest rate on the loan and the annual percentage rate (APR), which includes other costs, such as origination fees, discount points, mortgage insurance and other fees. Ask if the

saving money: How to save money when getting a mortgage - 03/19/08 08:22 AM
How to save money when getting a mortgage First Mortgage Loans Although your monthly payment may be higher, you can save tens of thousands of dollars in interest charges by shopping for the shortest-term mortgage you can afford. On a $100,000 fixed-rate loan at 7% annual percentage rate (APR), for example, you will pay over $75,000 less in interest on a 15-year mortgage than on a 30-year mortgage. You can save thousands of dollars in interest charges by shopping for the lowest-rate mortgage with the fewest points. On a 15-year $100,000 fixed-rate mortgage, just lowering the APR from 7% to 6.5% can save

saving money: Why you shouldn't buy a new car if you are looking to buy a home - 03/01/08 02:48 PM
Many people have come to me to buy a new home. In the beginning I lost a deal, because they bought a new car. So I tell all my buyers to not buy a new car when looking for a home. When you get a raise or accumulate some money most people like to spend it. Some decide to buy a home. some a car then there are the people who like to buy both. They have a desire to spend money. Buying a home is sometimes a long and laborious ordeal, but an adventurous one at that. So in saying this, don't make it harder on yourself. If

Wow! that is a lot of people. I am still doing my taxes early this year. I guess I can wait a few weeks longs. They are hoping that this delay will not pass onto people who do there taxes later. saving money: Homestead expemtion time is coming up for Texas residents. - 01/01/08 04:59 PM
Who qualifies for a homestead exemption. Anyone who owns a home on January 1st and uses that residence as their primary home. This entitles the owner to a $15,000 exemption to lower school taxes this year. You can either own a home, condo or mobile home. If you own your home you have to file after January 1st and before April 30th. Do not apply before or after these dates as they will not be accepted and you application will be thrown away. I listed the link below to follow to apply for your homestead. http://www.window.state.tx.us/taxinfo/taxforms/50-114.pdf Thank you, J. If you are buying a new home
