My wife, Bev is currently visiting her son in Gainsville, VA. and getting aquainted with her new grandaughter, Bella, born March 22. Bella makes 11 grandchildren between the two of us. Bella's mom and dad, Mark and Regina, live in a 4BR, 2 story house with a finished basement on a small lot. They bought the house 2 yrs ago in the $450,000 range and in spite of the so called "bubble burst" it's probably worth over $550,000 today.
In Muncie, that same house would probably somewhere in the $250,000 range, which reminds me once again how fortunate we are to live in an area … (1 comments)

Condo/Villa Sales Growing - 04/12/07 09:42 AM
I recently did a presentation to the Muncie Homebuilders Assoc. and in preparing my data, I noticed a significant trend. First, the only segment of our population predicted to grow in the coming years is the 55 and over age group. Second, condo/villa/duplex sales grew 37% from 04 to 05 and 81% from 05 to 06. There are now over 20 condo/villa/duplex sites in Del. Co. Eagle Branch Villas at Heron Pointe continues to dominate the high end, Copperfield Commons has four new units under construction, Willow Lakes is preparing for a new section and PineView at Riverside is now under … (0 comments)
