I am thankful for my awareness around forgiveness. There is a Matthew West song that says; "Forgiveness, the prisoner that it really frees is you." This is so very true. Learning to forgive and let go allows me to move on, freeing up energy for new opportunities, relationships and abundance.
Blame, hate, revenge, un-forgiveness are all negative actions that continually fuel negativity in our lives. Forgiveness, however is positive, freeing and enlightening in it's make-up. I choose to embrace the practice of daily retreat. I consciously choose quiet moments to meditate, express gratitude for the blessings that surround me and reflect on scripture. It is necessary for me to create space to replenish my spirit each day. The times and periods that I have not taken time to do this I quickly find myself dehydrated and running on empty. It is important to fill my spirit long before I grow emotionally, spiritually or relation-ally dehydrated. I choose to do each day with crazy faith; an unrelenting, passionate desire to do more, love more, be more. Persistence is another word for crazy faith. I acknowledge the awareness that my home or my nest needs to be a safe haven where I can find rest. A place where I walk in and my Spirit knows I am safe, loved, relaxed, inspired and wanted. A safe haven begins with a restful atmosphere of love. It is an escape from the world where ALL are made to feel welcome and wanted. I am grateful for the awareness of the seasons in my life. I choose not to get frustrated when things don't work out on my timetable. God's plan is often a slightly different version than my own. I acknowledge every season is not harvest season. There are plowing seasons, (where I have to work on the plan). There are planting seasons, (where I have to plant the seed for personal or professional growth.) There are watering seasons (where I have to nurture the seeds I have sowed). I acknowledge faith is essential if I am committed to live and love wholeheartedly (with my whole self), We live in a world where it is the "norm" to want assurances before we we take a risk on being vulnerable or getting hurt. I live in the awareness to OWN my story. In the coming year blame, excuses, justifications for behavior and fear will be recognized for what they are and released of any hold they have on me. Owning our story is hard, but not nearly as hard as spending our life's running from it or making excuses for our negative or draining behavior. I acknowledge the more time I pursue my guided pursuits the more time I have for everything else. It's amazing the awareness in wasted time when we are not living out our God-given destiny. I am grateful for the abundance that flows to and more importantly through me. I was conditioned as a child that It needed to "hold onto what I had" as I may never have it again. Life is an occasion and I choose to rise to it! So many of us are just going through the motions day in day out....going to work, going to school, running the kids here...running the kids there and lack the awareness that this specific moment in time will never come again.
