Dining rooms often seem to me to be the rooms with the most furniture and the ones homeowners use for more than one purpose. Therefore they tend to collect things not related to dining. When you are getting ready to sell your home take a really close look at your dining room. Most dining rooms are furnished with a table and a collection of other furniture pieces including china cabinets, buffets, servers, sideboards and those "extra chairs". This dining room is the perfect example:

This kitchen presented a major challenge. This 1980's renovation screams gut, replace and too expensive to a prospective buyer; however, the homeowner did not have the budget for a a new kitchen, nor would she recover the cost at time of sale. Yet, something drastic was needed to turn this into an asset for the home.
The cabinet doors were flat and boring, many of the existing hinges were broken, and there was a lot of damage to the doors and frames. And should I even mention the ugly valance hiding a fluorescent fixture over the sink … (15 comments)
