My family and I went to the Utah State Fair yesterday, which will be going until Sept. 16. It was a lot of fun as usual. The rides, food and all the exhibits. The weather was just right, not too hot not too cold. We saw a rodeo and also some country singers, Moe Bandy being one of them. It was an awesome day. I love fairs.
My daughter and her friend are somewhere on these rides. Surprisingly they didn't come out blurry.
I could really go wild on those funnel cakes and Navajo tacos, soooooo goooooood.

Next Tuesday Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. there will be a meeting on the county's recent tax assessment. It will be held at the Bountiful Library, 725 S. Main St. Any one living in Davis county is invited to go.
The meeting will include a disscussion of options reagarding the tax increase and will also feature some quest speakers. This has all been organized by Tatiana Milne.
So, if you're thinking your taxes are just too high, I encourage everyone to go. We all need to show our united front on this matter.
As you've probably heard, here in Utah, in the Crandel Canyon Mine they are desperatley trying to find 6 miners who are trapped inside. It is now 8:00 pm and now we've just learned there has been another cave in, there are atleast 4 rescuers that have been injured, and there are still ambulances waiting. Please say a prayer for all of them, the rescuers and the trapped men. God bless them and their families.
I recently recieved my property tax notice, along with everyone else in Utah. To my suprise they tax comissioner is showing my home worth $100,000. more than it actually is. This is the second year in a row this has happened, which wouldn't be so bad, if I could actually sell my home for what their tax says. Apparently because their building huge homes up behind us with a golf course, and because their getting $300,000. to $500,000. just for a lot the rest of us should also pay. It doesn't matter if you have a .10 or 1.00 acres it's all being charged $100,000. Thankfully the rest of the county doesn't agree with the taxing either, the comissioner and his crew are supposed to make a decision in a few weeks. It's all just crazy to me!!!
Now that the kids are out of school I'm hoping I'll have an assitant. ( LOL... )
It's already 85* outside here in Bountiful Utah and getting hotter!!!
My son turns 16 on Monday, so add that to the list of worries. Although he's a pretty good driver, if he would just remember the shiney things on the doors out side are mirrors and use them once in a while.
I was going to go doorknocking today but talked myself out of it, it's just to hot, yeah that's it. Too hot. I'm hoping to just muster up the courage soon and do it. Ever notice how those doors look HUGE as you're walking up to them? It makes me feel I just don't want to distrub the giant behind it!
Well, hope you're all doing great things this weekend.
Does anyone get anything from cold calling? If so, do you have a good script? I'm not crazy about the one I have. So far calling has not been the best for me. HELP!
