Last month I visited Lake Pleasant a great big lake (10,000 acres) in the Northwest Phoenix metro area. It is a great lake to have in the desert! The Lake resides in Maricopa County's Lake Pleasant Regional Park within the metropolitan city limits of Peoria at the edges of Maricopa County and Yavaipai County. There are entrances off of the Carefree Highway about 15 miles west of the Carefree Highway exit on I-17.
