roswell ga: Home prices falling? Not yet in North Atlanta, GA - 06/14/23 11:18 AM
Here we go again; another prediction that home prices will be falling. As real estate brokers we have heard this now for almost 3 years, and could there be some truth to it; possibly.  I just don't see it yet in the northern suburbs of Atlanta, GA.
Housing is perhaps the most consequential category in the consumer price index, a key inflation barometer.
As the largest expense for an average U.S. household, shelter accounts for more than a third of the CPI weighting, the most of any other consumer good or service. That gives housing an outsized influence on the overall direction of inflation … (2 comments)

roswell ga: Surprise...surprise; home ownership is expensive! - 03/17/23 08:15 AM
If you think it’s difficult to afford a home, you’re probably right.
Nine out of 10 homeowners who bought a home in the last three years say they were unprepared for the extra costs of maintaining and financing their property, according to a new survey of 1,000 U.S. homeowners by Real Estate Witch, a real estate education platform.
Additionally, 73% of those surveyed said they had regrets about buying their home, with expensive maintenance and hidden costs cited as the most common reasons.
Only 35% of homeowners say they had no feelings of buyer’s remorse after buying their home. In the 2019 version of this … (2 comments)

roswell ga: Atlanta named by Money Magazine as Top Spot to Live - 10/19/22 09:21 AM
Having moved my family to Atlanta twice in 33 years, we found it to be one of the best places to live: four seasons (although mild winters), solid job market, very strong public and private school options, major-league sports, great shopping and entertainment always!
Money’s Best Places to Live list has been around for 35 years and counting. And if you’ve come across it in any one of those years, you know that Atlanta is very different from the kinds of places that usually make the cut. Especially at the very top.
This is no accident. At a time when people are becoming much more … (2 comments)

I have been a resident of Sandy Springs, GA for nearly 30 years and it excites me that new Express Lanes are going to help commuters reduce their hours on the road.  However, there are many stakeholders that have waited until the last minute to get involved in the process.  I started attending meetings, reading information published by the GA DOT years ago so that I could understand how this massive road project would effect me, my family, and my property.

As a deadline looms to cement plans for a Ga. 400 expansion through north Fulton County, leaders in three cities are still … (2 comments)
