      <title>More About Belief</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;&amp;quot;The only thing that stands between a person and what they want from life is often the will to try it and the faith to believe it&amp;#39;s possible.&amp;quot;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;Rich Devos&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Refelcting on belief systems this morning I kept thinking about the Fiesta Bowl earlier this year between College Football power house Oklahoma Sooners and the little team that could Boise State Broncos.&amp;nbsp; A true David and Goliath match up.&amp;nbsp; Short of getting robbed at Oregon, Oklahoma was a true National Championship contender.&amp;nbsp; Boise State while undefeated plays in a small conference and it&amp;#39;s widely considered to have a weak schedule.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;At any rate the Broncos came out firing and looked like they were going to blow out the heavely favored Sooners.&amp;nbsp; They jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first 8 minutes of the game.&amp;nbsp; The Sooners came back and were able to stay close until they tied the game with 1:28 left.&amp;nbsp; The Broncos offense is back on the field with 90 seconds to drive down to win the game and what happens?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;The Broncos QB throws an interception that gets returned for a touchdown, in a span of 30 seconds you went from great sports story to another near miss by an upstart team.&amp;nbsp; But someone forgot to tell the Broncos the game was over.&amp;nbsp; They drove down and with 7 seconds to go on 4th and 18 the pulled the most amazing thing I&amp;#39;ve ever seen in sports.&amp;nbsp; A friggin Hook and Ladder Play!!&amp;nbsp; And it worked to tie the game.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;No way this play works if you don&amp;#39;t believe in it.&amp;nbsp; Then in overtime after the Sooners scored right away the Broncos came back and scored in amazing fashion again.&amp;nbsp; This time instead on going for the tie by kicking the extra point they went for the win with the Statue of Liberty play, here&amp;#39;s what happened.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvfpK67RjEE&amp;amp;mode=related&amp;amp;search&quot;&gt;http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvfpK67RjEE&amp;amp;mode=related&amp;amp;search&lt;/a&gt;=&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This was by far the greatest football game I&amp;#39;ve ever watched.&amp;nbsp; I remember being giddy afterwards, not because I&amp;#39;m a Boise State fan but because it was a performance that&amp;nbsp;insires the soul.&amp;nbsp; If you believe it&amp;nbsp;will happen it will.&amp;nbsp; If you believe the crazy play the coach calls&amp;nbsp;is going to&amp;nbsp;win the game for you it will.&amp;nbsp; If you believe&amp;nbsp;that you&amp;#39;re&amp;nbsp;plans are going to succeed they will as long as you put the work and commitment in.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Change what you believe about whats possible and change your life.&amp;nbsp; What&amp;nbsp;one belief could you change today that would explode your business?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;&amp;quot;You cannot discover new oceans unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore&amp;quot;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;Anonymous&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Most people lose sight of how truly simple&amp;nbsp;any sales business is.&amp;nbsp; They get caught up in&amp;nbsp;chasing&amp;nbsp;knowledge, always wanting to learn more so they can spout that information to the same 15-30 people they talk to every week.&amp;nbsp;The key to exploding any business is getting out&amp;nbsp;in the field and meeting people.&amp;nbsp; It&amp;#39;s all a mathimatical equation, or the law of averages.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;Lets assume that in Real Estate for every 100 new&amp;nbsp;people you meet you close just&amp;nbsp;1 transaction.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Meet 5 new people a week it takes 20 weeks to close your 1 transaction.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Meet 10 new people a week it takes 10 weeks to close your 1 transaction.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Meet 20 new people a week it takes 5 weeks to close your 1 transaction.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Meet 40 new people a week it takes 2.5 weeks to clos your 1 transaction.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Meet 80 new&amp;nbsp;people a week it takes 1.25 weeks to close your 1 transaction.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Meet 125 new&amp;nbsp;people a week it takes 4 days to close your 1 transaction.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I stopped at 125 people for a reason.&amp;nbsp; There is an investment firm out there that part of their training&amp;nbsp;of new&amp;nbsp;advisors is to meet 125&amp;nbsp;new people per week.&amp;nbsp; This in not a hello how are you,&amp;nbsp;they actually have to meet&amp;nbsp;people,&amp;nbsp;get contact information to follow up and know&amp;nbsp;learn something about these people.&amp;nbsp; I also know you&amp;#39;re&amp;nbsp;probably not going to close a transaction in 4 days, it&amp;#39;s possible but with how real estate works not likely.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;But what your business look like if you picked up a new&amp;nbsp;listing every 4 days?&amp;nbsp; How would your life change?&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I can hear it now, &amp;quot;There&amp;#39;s no way I can meet 125&amp;nbsp;new people a week.&amp;quot;&amp;nbsp; YES YOU CAN!!! It&amp;#39;s a matter of if you&amp;#39;re truely committed to meeting 125 people per week.&amp;nbsp; These&amp;nbsp;financial advisors don&amp;#39;t get through the sales training unless they do it and when they start they make a lot less money that what agents or loan officers would make&amp;nbsp;with the same commitment.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Let me finish&amp;nbsp;with a few&amp;nbsp;questions:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;What is it costing you by not meeting 125 new people every week?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;If you&amp;#39;re not meeting new people everyday, what are you afraid of?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Finally, what would happen if you closed 2% of new people you meet instead of 1%?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>What Dreams have you Forgotten?</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;Everyone has a dream, what&amp;#39;s yours?&amp;nbsp; Is it a powerful dream?&amp;nbsp; Does it keep you up at night?&amp;nbsp; Can you see it?&amp;nbsp; Most people don&amp;#39;t have big dreams because they are told to be realistic or that they can never achieve it.&amp;nbsp; Why do we kill each other&amp;#39;s dreams like this? Who are you or who am I to tell each other what we can or can&amp;#39;t do?&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;We live in the greatest country on earth.&amp;nbsp; Our politics may be messed up (different discussion) but anyone, anywhere can wake up and go get anything they want, if their committed to making it happen.&amp;nbsp; All you need is an un-wavering desire to get it and your brain will take care of the rest.&amp;nbsp; Your brain does what you tell it, you ask it for a million dollars and it goes to work developing a plan to get a million dollars.&amp;nbsp; People fail when they shut off their brain.&amp;nbsp; They let others beat them down or beat themselves down and their brain stops working on it because it&amp;#39;s never going to happen anyway.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Watch the clip below, it&amp;#39;s a powerful statement from one of the greatest rags to riches stories in our nation&amp;#39;s history.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNB6n0FfqAU&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;My challenge today is this.&amp;nbsp; We all have dreams we&amp;#39;ve forgotten or given up on for one reason or another.&amp;nbsp; What dream have you forgotten?&amp;nbsp; Can you see it?&amp;nbsp; Write it down and write down 10 things you can do to make it happen.&amp;nbsp; After you do this I promise you you&amp;#39;ll be in a much more powerful place than before you read this.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;The movie &amp;quot;Take the Lead&amp;quot; with Antonio Banderas&amp;nbsp; tells the tale based on a true story of Pierre Dulane, a classical dance instructor teaching inner-city kids dance while they are in detention.&amp;nbsp; It&amp;#39;s not a great movie by any stretch, however its message is one we can all benefit from. There are two scenes in which this message is delivered in a powerful way.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;In the first scene Dulane bails out one of his students from jail and takes to student back to his home to stay for the night.&amp;nbsp; Dulane tells the student he can get anything he wants in life if he makes the right choices.&amp;nbsp; The student replies &amp;quot;Only certain people get what they want in life.&amp;quot;&amp;nbsp; Dulane answers back after a slight pause &amp;quot;Yeah only people who show up to get it.&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;In the second scene Dulane&amp;#39;s students are upset because they just found out the competition he wants them to enter has a $200 entry fee.&amp;nbsp; They accuse Dulane of wasting their time.&amp;nbsp; He assures them he&amp;#39;s teaching them something of value and the students answer back &amp;quot;not in our world&amp;quot;.&amp;nbsp; He again calmly responds &amp;quot;Do you know what I see when I look at this room?&amp;nbsp; Do I see a room of rejects?&amp;nbsp; Do I see a room of criminals?&amp;nbsp; No I see a room of choices.&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;You see that&amp;#39;s all life is about, choices.&amp;nbsp; You make the right or good choices and you&amp;#39;ll succeed.&amp;nbsp; You make bad choices and you don&amp;#39;t, pretty simple.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;You can choose to be a leader or a follower.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;You can choose to get up early and go to the gym or hit snooze.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;You can choose to spend time prospecting everyday or sit in the office and check emails.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;You can choose to know preview homes everyday or ...see above.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;You can choose to put a smile on your face and say hi to passing strangers or put your head down and hope they don&amp;#39;t notice you.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;You can choose to be honest with yourself or tell yourself little white lies to make yourself feel better.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The quality of you life right now is a direct reflection of the choices you&amp;#39;ve made up until this point.&amp;nbsp; The good news is you can improve everything right now by making better choices.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;If you would like help making better choices, we can literally change you life in a few sessions, contact me directly.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Jamey Mays&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;mailto:amazingcoaching@verizon.net&quot;&gt;amazingcoaching@verizon.net&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;(425) 205-3212&lt;/p&gt;</description>

Readers are leaders!&amp;nbsp; Jim Rohn says, &amp;quot;Miss a meal, do not miss your reading&amp;quot;) You do not have to read a book a day, just 10 pages a day as 10 pages a day will traditionally allow you to read about 1.5 books per month and that&amp;#39;s 18 books a year.&amp;nbsp; Some will choose not to read because they think they have to read the whole book right now, others know better, some of the book today, some tomorrow and some the next day and&amp;nbsp;the&amp;nbsp;next day until done.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;8) Journal&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;strong&gt;(&amp;nbsp;Master motivator once said that, &amp;quot;If your life is worth living then it&amp;#39;s worth recording!&amp;quot;) What your automated ritual say, &amp;quot;Tomorrow, sometime, later, why bother, too much trouble?&amp;quot; Takes just some of your time, not all your time, put some time into recording your life, the good and the bad!&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;9) Relationships&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt; (The quality of your life is in direct proportion to the quality of your relationships!)&amp;nbsp;At the end this is all we have!&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;10) Bedtime&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt; ( Are you visualizing your next day, your future, are you putting yourself into a deep powerful place for optimum rest?&amp;nbsp; It&amp;#39;s not how long you sleep, it&amp;#39;s how&amp;nbsp;deep you&amp;nbsp;sleep!&amp;nbsp; It&amp;#39;s not how long you are in a relationship rather how deep that relationship is, it&amp;#39;s not how long you live, yet it&amp;#39;s, how you live!&amp;nbsp;How you live, are you rituals!&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The bottom line is to &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;u&gt;recreate&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt; your life in such a powerful way that the day to day rituals you are operating from are rituals that you can be proud of, rituals that inspire you and send a great message to the world about who you are and what you are up to, period!&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;How do you want to be remebered?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;I remember pondering this question after my mother passed away 4 years ago.&amp;nbsp; This is a great question because it takes us places we don&amp;#39;t want to go.&amp;nbsp; It also shapes who you are and what you will be.&amp;nbsp; I thought I would share how I want to be remembered and I encourage everyone to share theirs as well&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;1. I want to be remembered as a great dad and husband.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;2. I want to be remembered as a great friend.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;3. I want to be remembered as a person who lived everyday to the fullest with a smile on my face.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;4. I want to be remembered as a person who cherishes the smallest pleasures.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;5. I want to be remembered as a person who had a great passion for helping people to a higher place in life.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;6. I want to be remembered as a person who told people the truth even if they didn&amp;#39;t want to hear it.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;7. I want to be remembered as a great leader.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;8.       <title>What do you Accept?</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Set #2:&amp;nbsp; Make a Real Decision&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;About what you must have and why you must have it.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Be specific, what are you committed to and why?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Your results must be measurable.&amp;nbsp; If it can&amp;#39;t be measured it&amp;#39;s just a vague dream.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I want to be number one in my office.&amp;nbsp; I&amp;#39;d like to lose some weight.&amp;nbsp; These do not work, how can you measure number one in your office?&amp;nbsp; You either are or are not.&amp;nbsp; Or some weight?&amp;nbsp; You lose an ounce tomorrow and goal is achieved, my guess would be not the results desired in the &amp;quot;I&amp;#39;d like to lose some weight&amp;quot;.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I must be number on in my office.&amp;nbsp; In order to achieve this I must close 52 real estate transactions for the year.&amp;nbsp; That is 4.3 transactions per month or 1 transaction per week.&amp;nbsp; I must be closing 1 transaction per week by November 1&lt;sup&gt;st&lt;/sup&gt;!&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;See the difference in the statement.&amp;nbsp; You&amp;#39;ve got your outcome and what it&amp;#39;s going to take to get there and by when, much, much more powerful. &amp;nbsp;And it&amp;#39;s measurable!!&amp;nbsp; Now how do you make it happen?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Stay tuned and Key Idea #3 will be posted tomorrow.
