Because of the increasing numbers of distressed homeowners, I decided to obtain additional training in
helping people in need of assistance in finding an alternative to a Foreclosure. The National Association
of Realtors, along with the Indiana Association of Realtors offered an opportunity to receive specialized
training in helping sellers and buyers through the process of a short sale. I spent the day in Indianapolis
with some of my colleagues receiving this training, and will soon be a certified SFR, enhancing my
expertise in the short sale and the foreclosure process. I will write more about this process soon,

It's beneficial  for the seller that is having difficulty making their monthly payment, and owes more on the property than it is worth in the current market.  Because they're going to be forgiven a large portion of the money they owe, and are saving their credit (way better than a foreclosure on your credit report). It also helps you leave your situation with dignity. Please call for further information if you are in a situation where you need to sell, and you owe more on your house than it is worth.
