Obama's extended first time home buyer tax credit was passed just moments ago!!! There have been a few enhancements to the first time home buyer incentive program. first time home buyers: H.R. 3590: Service Members Home Ownership Tax Act of 2009 Passes in House! - 10/16/09 12:06 PM
Via Greg Saunders (RE/MAX Around Atlanta): Hey Peachtree City...The House just passed the bill introduced by Rep. first time home buyers: Rates rally into the holiday! - 11/25/08 03:10 PM
Mortgage rates fell today by roughly 1 half percent. Here is a quick update on rates. Conventional 30 year fixed = 5.25% FHA 30 year fixed = 5.5% USDA 100% rural 30 year fixed loan = 5.5% Hopefully, this rally will continue into next week. The fed has not even begun to purchase Fannie and Freddie's $100 billion in debt or the $500 billion in mortgage backed securities. So far, rates have fallen with no action. I am curious to see where rates head next week. Everyone have a Happy and SAFE Thanksgiving! Best Wishes, Justin Messer
