I am proud to say that I work with a team of individuals that hold ethics high. I can say this, that during my tenure as a Mortgage Broker, I have worked with several realtors, have established many great relationships, and have met some wonderful people. What is my deciding factor in selecting the Realtors I work with? Ethics. I did work with one Realtor in the past (and he is no longer a part of my team) he was not about the customer, but about himself...Now I won't ride this horse long, only long enough to say this...What you do to others, and how you treat others will eventually either come back to Repay you, or to bite you in the @$$...you catch my drift? :) Now, I have a team of Realtors that I am very happy with because I know they are treating our clients well. In my networking I have tried to find a specific Realtor for different areas. For example, I have one Realtor that works primarily Scottsdale, and she rocks (you go Barb!)! I have another Realtor that works the larger metro Phoenix area, another out of town working the Globe-Miami area, two in Nevada, and two up north working Flagstaff and Prescott. With these Realtors there have been great relationships established and many happy clients. I am currently in the process of finding two Realtors to network with out of California, and also finding commercial Realtors in all of the above listed locations. We are at a place now where we need to get back to the basics...back to morals...standards...ethics. We need to come together, work together and use our professional knowledge to HELP the buyers/borrowers/clients, whatever you want to call them, they are all still people with none or little knowledge of the realestate market, and once they come to us they are trusting in us to walk them through the buying process. Remember, for most people this is the biggest financial decision they will have to make in their lives, and it is up to us to help them, and guide them with THEIR BEST INTEREST at Heart. I do believe that doing business right, pays a greater return then doing business wrong! I have gone par (make no money so the client get's the best rate) on many deals for my borrowers, and guess what? They come back, and they usually bring one or two people with them....This is what it all about. :) I wish everyone reading this the best, and I hope that this becomes a passion that drives you in your future business. With home prices dropping dramatically, banks and lenders shutting their doors, and Realtors/Brokers being hit head on I have to ask myself the question, why did we ever allow it go this far? I'm convinced that there are still honest Loan Officers out there, I know this because I work with a team of them. National Wholesale Mortgage (NWM) is rising straight to the top for this very reason, WE DO BUSINESS RIGHT! No compromise! It isn't about our wallet (don't get me wrong, I do like getting my paycheck:) but more importantly it is about setting a higher standard and getting back to working with ethics, morals, and integrity! I'm tired of watching home buyers losing their homes to foreclosures. I'm tired of looking into the faces of new home buyers that were lied to by other Loan Officer's before coming into my office! This has got to stop, and if it means one company taking a stand and stepping out to see that it happens, then that's exactly what NWM is equipped to do! Let's correct this market, let's change the "Negative Label" that has been placed over the mortgage industry and show our future home buyers that we are here FOR THEM. We are here to educate, we are here to inform, and we are here to walk side by side with them through one the biggest investments they will ever have to make. We are not here to let them down, we are not here to fill our pockets, we are here for THEM! Realtors, I know that you are feeling the effects as well, but I say this to encourage you...Don't give up! Don't look at what's around you, look at the future and know that it's up to you and me to make it what it will be.
