Speechless Sunday - A Little Bird Watching - 11/20/11 11:24 AM
My cat, Loki,  and I have our daily routine.   Our first item on the schedule for us is to feed the birds and fill up their water saucer.  We have filtered water in our home, but Loki loves to drink out of the bird's water.  I guess that makes her feel like a jungle cat.
This morning, after taking care of our chores, a squirrel decided to come eat with the birds.  Well...that just won't do!  Loki ran to the window to watch him.  He will never know how much danger he was in with Loki, the jungle cat, watching him:)

America- If You Don't Love It Leave It!"- THANK YOU, VETERANS! - 11/11/11 12:59 PM
I would like to say "thank you" to all of our Veterans and Active Troops.   Americans owe our freedom to you and we will not forget.
My dad was in WWII and the Korean Wars.  He was a quiet man who rarely spoke of his "war" times and if he did tell us a story, it was something funny that had happened to him.  Those wars were not funny, but he would have never shared the horrors of what he had seen with his children.  If you have the privilege of knowing one of these veterans, you are blessed.  These men did … (11 comments)

I Am Thankful For Electricity (Thankful Challenge) - 11/02/11 10:59 PM
As I watched the news tonight, I saw people who are still without power because of the early snow storm.  Many of them are trying to find hotels and many of them are just doing the best they can do.  I am thankful tonight that my power is on ---I hate to say it, but I have my air conditioner running.  I do hope everyone's power is restored soon.  I can only imagine how cold and uncomfortable they must be.  It is still sunny on the golf course.
