I just got back from a vacation in Rockport.  I love Rockport!  Today's weather is sunny with a high of 84 and I am wishing I was back in Rockport with a fishing pole.

Country Place in Pearland is one of my favorite neighborhoods.  This 55+ active community is conveniently located near Hwy 288 and Beltway 8 and is close to the Pearland Town Center, grocery shopping, churches and many great restaurants. 
I was picking up a sign in Country Place and noticed these beautiful flowers in one of the front yards.  I had to grab my camera and take a photo to share with my neighbors and friends in the community.

Tough Times for Some People with Pets - Please Help - 04/12/12 12:25 PM
We are all too aware that this economy is taking a toll of all of us.  All we need to do is stop by our favorite gas station and pay for a tank of gasoline or stop in at the grocery store for "a few things".  Ouch!
There are many people who are being forced to give up their pets to friends or the local animal shelter because the owners can't afford to feed them.  This is such a sad situation for the pets and their owners.

I lost my precious little Jack Russell Terrier this past year and I was heartbroken.  I had her for 13 years and she was my "baby". 
If you know anything about Jack Russell Terriers, you know they have tons of energy!  She was such a clown and she made me laugh.  I loved that little girl so much and it was extremely difficult to let her go. 
When she was about 11 years old she developed diabetes.  My husband is a diabetic and one of the symptoms which helped the doctor diagnose him was his insatiable thirst.  I noticed that my little … (12 comments)

This is a story of my cat, Loki.  Loki didn't start her life in the lap of luxury,surrounded by love.  No, she was abandoned by a community swimming pool and only about 5 weeks old.  I can still remember her pitiful little "meow" as I picked her up to snuggle her.
My husband and I had just moved into a little neighborhood in Trinity, Texas and decided to check out the community pool one evening.  And, that is where we found this little kitten trying to catch bugs to eat.  My heart melted and I felt so sorry for her.
