Those were the words our broker told us to express to our prospective buyers a few weeks ago in one of our sales meetings.  To which I chimed in, "even if they are cancer survivors?" (Not making light of cancer here folks, I was just trying to put his comment into perspective)

How's that grab you, all of you free market proponents?
Commission based pay.  For everyone. The ultimate in free market economics.  In essence, put up or shut up.
My suggestion is bred from the frustration all of us who are on a commision based pay structure have with those who aren't.  Namely, BANK EMPLOYEES!
You see, we, the commission based agents, have a vested interest in making real estate transactions, ie. short sales, come to fruition.  They, the BANK EMPLOYEES, often do not.

For months leading up to the expiration of the first time home buyer tax credit real estate experts and agents alike were predicting a fall off in activity in the real estate market once the credit expired.
Well folks, if you were one of those prognositcators you were sorely mistaken.  At least that's from our perspective in Phoenix, AZ.
We are still seeing multiple offers on properties, bidding wars, and even some slight price appreciation in our market.
Experienced investors are seizing the opportunity and scooping up properties in droves.  And those who need a place to live still see this … (0 comments)

The real industry has forever been fighting an uphill battle in terms of public perception.  In polls that are taken regarding various industries and how they are perceived Realtors rank only slightly higher than Lawyers in the public's eyes. Lawyers usually being dead last in these polls.
Which leads to my point.  When Realtors don't answer phones, don't return e-mail messages and insist on automating their phone services or requiring us to text them for info you are only hurting the industry as a whole.
