Real Estate vs Personal Property - 03/31/11 08:33 AM
Real Estate vs Personal PropertyIs it real estate or personal property? This was a challenging question that came up years ago during my rookie year in the business. I had just received a call from a prospect, who was looking for an agent to list his home for sale. I was quite excited to be going out on one of my first listing appointments. I arrived a few minutes early to our appointment since I was not very familiar with the neighborhood or that community. I was invited in by the owner, and he immediately gave me a tour of his (12 comments)

Choosing the Right Neighborhood - 03/27/11 10:44 AM
Choosing the Right Neighborhood There are certainly many factors to consider when selecting a neighborhood that’s right for you. Neighborhoods may have a variety of characteristics and personalities that are suited for singles, growing families, two-career couples, or retirees. It is important to investigate different communities and neighborhoods to determine if you purchased a home in that area would it fit your personality and lifestyle.
It is very important that you scout out the neighborhood personally. I have had past clients ask me what is that neighborhood like, and is there a lot of crime in the area? Even (4 comments)
Do You have a Good Buyer's Presentation? - 03/25/11 05:31 PM
Do you have a Good Buyer’s Presentation?Having a Good Buyer’s presentation is just as important as having a Great Listing Presentation. Since I work with a lot of first time home buyers in my market area, it’s very important on that first consultation visit that I am fully prepared to answer all their questions, and meet or exceed all their expectations. Therefore, I am constantly updating and adding new material to my Power Point Home Buyer’s presentation. I have also added a Home Buyer’s guide that I always present to my clients to take home with them. This guide includes valuable (22 comments)

Active Rain Kodak Challenge- Choosing the Right Closing GiftChoosing the right closing gift can certainly be a challenge for most of us. But, I started awhile back getting to know my clients interests and some of their needs. I have given a variety of closing gifts over the years. One of my very first clients in my first year in the business, was a co-worker and friend. I knew he loved to play golf, so presenting him with some Taylor made golf clubs was a nice surprise to him. I have given George Foreman barbecue grills, various types of crystal vases, (10 comments)

Hunters Chase was a new subdivision in Northwest San Antonio that had a great location, and easy access to Interstate highway 10, which got me to work within 15 minutes, since I was (8 comments)
