I first started posting about how great our Texas Veteran's Land Board is to all our Texas veterans six years ago when the loan limits was at $80,000. Veterans could purchase 5 acres or more at that price, and own a piece of Texas to build their Dream Homes. No other lender in the state could offer our vets the lowest interest rates for land loans.

I believe that the Texas Veterans Land Board Program is the only one of it's kind in the whole country. I helped another veteran find 5 acres of land this past summer, and he was very pleased at the loan process for acquiring his own piece of Texas. Previously, the maximum loan amount was $80,000 for one acre or more, but now, veterans can purchase land for loans up to $100,000.

But, sometimes our veterans may experience hardships, and can’t make the payments on their Veteran Land Board Loans, and they end up forfeiting their land. What a Great Event for our Texas Veterans!This past Saturday, August 18, 2012. proved to be another great Veterans Benefits workshop for our local Texas Veterans. Over a thousand veterans visited the Live Oak Civic Center during this three hour period to get tons of information from all the participating vendors on hand. On Tuesday, April 26, 2011, the Texas Veterans Land Board (VLB) will once again offer forfeited land tracts to eligible Texas veterans in a sealed-bid sale.What's New:
The one-year Residency Requirement has been eliminated.  If you are a veteran living in Texas, regardless of when you moved here, you can qualify for a loan.
