Year-over-year sales rose by 11.9% with 648 North Las Vegas homes sold in October, compared to 579 in 2010; however this is the second straight month of declining sales. The mix of available North Las Vegas homes for sale is 57.6% short sales, 23.0% regular sales and 19.4% bank owned. The median selling price for single-family homes in North Las Vegas is down 8.8% from October 2010 to October 2011. Year-over-year sales fell by 15.4% with 704 North Las Vegas homes sold in June, compared to 832 in 2009. However, the monthly increase of 98 homes sold is a positive indicator and may lead to a strong second half. The median selling price for single-family homes in North Las Vegas is up 1.9% from June 2009 to June 2010. Year-over-year sales fell by 16.1% with 657 North Las Vegas homes sold in May, compared to 783 in 2009. This pretty much insures that first half sales will not keep pace with 2009 results. The median selling price for single-family homes in North Las Vegas is down 2.8% from May 2009 to May 2010.
