Our city leaders delivered on this goal, keeping the property tax rate at a low $0.71 per $100 of assessed valuation. This compares very favorably to Reno ($0.95), Las Vegas ($1.06) and North Las Vegas ($1.16). At the city level, property taxes help pay for police and fire protection; street maintenance, lighting and flood control; parks and recreation facilities and programs; code enforcement; land-use planning; and customer service.
