The Rim of The World Historical Society was founded in 1986. The Historical Society began as part of an "election platform" in Crestline's annual race for Honorary Mayor. Originally known as the Crest Forest Historical Society, the group soon found itself representing all west-end mountain communities from Snow Valley to Cedarpines Park.

As a RE/MAX Lake Arrowhead agent who specializes in Lake Arrowhead Real Estate and Foreclosure properties I came across crucial information concerning all California Real Estate Agents. C.A.R Members have reported that several investor buyers are using an "As-Is Contract for Sale and Purchase" form which fraudulently claims to be approved by C.A.R. Although C.A.R. has not reviewed or approved the form.
The "As-Is Contract for Sale and Purchase" form, referenced at the bottom as "FAR/BAR ASIS," has been modeled after a purchase agreement approved by the Florida Association of REALTORS®.

The Blue Jay Ice Castle among other things has helped shaped the identity of our mountain community. The Blue Jay Outdoor Ice Skating Rink began as a seasonal rink in the 1930's. By the 1940's it became a year-round phenomenon beloved by visitors and locals alike. The Rite-Aid is now located where this rink originally stood. The Ice Castle eventually found a home at the entrance of Blue Jay Village. The grand opening took place June of 1983. California homebuilders pulled 36,209 permits statewide in 2009, a 44 percent decline compared with 2008, and 83 percent lower compared with 2004, the peak of the current cycle, according to the California Building Industry Association (CBIA).
