Carrboro, North Carolina is a very cool town. In fact, it has been referred to as the "Paris of the Piedmont." It is known for its walkability and its great restaurants, art galleries, farmers market, Weaver Street Market and more.
The Carrboro Merchants Association launched an excellent web site highlighting all that Carrboro has to offer, including a wonderful map of the town and information about local restaurants and stores as well as upcoming events. This is an excellent resource for local information.

Countdownr 5 Days and Counting and it’s looking more like a matchup for the record books. This has not been a good week for Duke. After a miserable performance in the loss at Clemson, many people are asking, “Who was that team?”. Next on their schedule is a home game on Saturday, Feb. 7th against Miami. Carolina meanwhile, breezed through their contests with NC State & Maryland. Up next for the Heels is a Saturday afternoon game against the Virginia Cavaliers.

Durham homes for sale -- Closed sales in Durham declined 26% in 2008. Durham did better than Orange County which saw a 29% decline and the rest of the Triangle where overall sales were down 35%. The current supply based on 2008 closings is 6 months. This is slightly better than the rest of the Triangle area market which has a 7 month supply. The average sales price for Durham was $196,400, which is down 2% compared with 2007. The average days on market for resale homes was 75 and the average was closer to 122 for … (0 comments)

The average days on market for resale homes was 77 and the average days on market for new construction was 132. The current supply based on 2008 closings is 7 months. Once again, after only a week, the ACC race is even more up for grabs than it looked like last week. Carolina went to Tallahassee to face Florida State on Wednesday and it was a nail biter...but in True Carolina Blue fashion, the #5 Heels pulled it out at the buzzer 80-77. (Thank you Ty Lawson) This gives UNC a 4-2 ACC record and 18-2 overall heading into the weekend.
