HOORRAY FOR ACTIVE RAIN! What a great song! I like the ring to it
Free is my favorite word! But Active Rain is much better than free!
When you consistantly blog and comment and make friends on line, The Buyers and Sellers will call you! Then they buy from you! This is better than free! Here is a summary of my jorney on Active Rain.
You see, If you sit back and wait for the buyers to fall in your lap, it will not happen as often as you like. If you aggressively go out and find those buyers and sellers, then success will follow you.
Consequently, Active|Rain means just this. If you sit back and wait for the rain, you will have plenty of time to put up your umbrella, and you will not get wet. If you make it rain, you will have no time for unbrellas. You will get wet. You will be wildly successful! You need to be a RAINMAKER!
In December 2007, Active Rain put me on the front page of the local real estate section of the Morning Call in Allentown PA. A picture of this is to the left.
Don't think I haven't shown this to every client I have worked with. It has gone on every listing presentation. Not many can show this wonderful success, as a direct result of Active|Rain.
I have lost track of how many deals I have done, as a result of people finding me through my Active Rain Blog! ... And Active Rain is the key to success! It has opened so many doors for me and my team!
I have had buyers meet me at a property for a showing, and they know all about me before I get out of the car. They have read my profile on line!
How very cool! They already know I am successful before they meet me.
I have had people call me from California, and Canada, and from towns thousands of miles away. Each one found me on the first page of a Google Search, and they called me to list their property, or to show them a home.
Then I told every Agent in my office Not to Join Active Rain. I told them of the success I was having. I told them I wanted to get the calls from the clients, and not them.
Of course, I was joking, and tried to show them all that the real estate business has changed, and this is a free way to make money.
Funny, how most of the other Agents choose NOT to join Active Rain. Some of those agents, are constantly complaining of the horrible year they had in 2008.....
Funny..... I had, by far, the best year ever in 2008. While other agents are putting their license in escrow, We were so busy last year that we are now among the top 5 agents in the entire company!
Then the points started to accumulate. I was soon #1 in Bucks County PA, and then finally, was #1 in points in all of Pennsylvania!
Then the points were piling on, and I hit another milestone! A family from Detroit, found me on the first page of a Google Search. They drove to Quakertown on the day after Christmas in 2008 to rent a house in Quakertown. They stayed in a hotel until we found one. We did all this in a week, and they moved in on New Year's Day. They plan to rent for six months, and buy a home this coming summer 2009, using me as their Realtor!
Because I am now on the top of the list in Pennsylvania, and also in the top 25 of all 127,000 + members of Active Rain, I have been selected to try out the new Growth Leader lead generation program by Market Leader. This is very exciting. Look forward to my future postings on the success of this program. I am the first Real Estate Agent to be selected in my entire Trend MLS area, which includes all of Philadelphia, and Southeastern Pennsylvania, South Jersey, and northern Delaware! For the fourth year, The Bradbury Team from Coldwell Banker Heritage in Quakertown PA USA, help a pumpkin decorating contest. We delivered over 700 pumpkins to homes in the area. The families were to decorate their pumpkins and put them on their doorstep for our judges. Everyone that decorated their pumpkin was a winner in 2008. Each participant received a pumpkin pin, a Bradbury Team Pen, a bag of Halloween candy, and also a light stick for safety for the children during Halloween Trick or Treat activities.
