business planning: 2011 December Blogging Challenge:Make This December The BEST Month of Your Life!!! - 12/03/11 04:02 PM
I have started December by PLANNING What I want in 2012!
I've shared with you often that I believe visualization is the first step to getting what you want. The most successful people indicate they spend a little time (and 5 or 10 minutes IS enough!) each day visualizing their perfect outcomes. When you do this, you are programming your subconscious mind to look for the synchronicities and opportunities to take you closer to your vision. For me, it's worked in many little ways...just visualizing before a speech or class that people were happy and got value or visualizing my day as wonderful … (4 comments)

business planning: Fabulous Fall Has Arrived! - 10/06/11 10:05 AM
Fabulous Fall Has Arrived!
There’s a crispness in the air that brings a smile to my face. I LOVE this time of the year. I hope wherever you are, the weather is delicious as well! I am looking forward to a trip back to Baltimore for a High School Reunion (and I'm teaching The Business of Your Business PMN Designation Class and a Point2Agent SEO Class). And, my granddaughter,Lily, turns 10 in a few weeks! Both of those events remind me how quickly time is marching forward.
With less than 90 days until the end of the year.....What are you doing to … (6 comments)

business planning: Are You Ready???? - 01/05/10 04:26 PM
"I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought; and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder." - GK Chesterton
I love ending of one year and the beginning of a fresh new one! Last week, the subscribers to my Tuesday Tips Newsletter got a beautiful New Year's card instead of a post because Annette, my wonderful virtual assistant www.VirtualAnnette.net saved me while I was on the sickbed with pneumonia. I love having support! And even more... love more having the ability to let go and let people help me. Thank you Annette!!!
So, this ending of a year and beginning … (0 comments)

business planning: Are you Inspired???? - 11/04/09 08:34 AM
A couple of questions today...
Who inspires you? First, I think of people like Mother Theresa, and Ghandi and Zainab Salbi, Greg Mortenson and Coco Fossland. This morning on Twitter and Facebook, my good friend Karin Hanna posted a tweet with a link to a blog article and a YouTube video. Catherine Bolt and her family have identified something they are passionate about and they are making a difference! What a gift she has given to her children to involve them in seeing they matter and they can make an impact on the world. Take a minute right now and write … (7 comments)

business planning: Kick Back or Kick Ass? - 09/22/09 10:57 AM
There are 100 days left in 2009. You have a choice right now to coast through the Fall and Holidays or to take charge and decide this will be the best quarter of the year. While many agents are feeling the busy part of the year is now gone and they "know" things are slower over the holidays....the smart agents are seeing where the opportunities are and seizing them. Instead of kicking back, you can  ramp up a blitz for your sphere, your farm area, or your client base. Plan a client appreciation party or just take a client out to … (8 comments)

business planning: A Vision Board for 2008 - 01/08/08 09:35 PM

I came across this as I was planning for my 3 Day REINVENTION Business Planning Retreat. Each participant is going to get one! It's called a Vision Board.
In my workshops, I have always found the creation of what I had called a Destiny Display, a poster with pictures of what the person wants to achieve in the coming year, is a kind of magic. Even people who think it is a silly exercise come around when they see the results they create. The Law of Attraction works powerfully when you keep your intentions in front of you.So, when I saw this, I … (2 comments)

business planning: Baby Steps.... - 10/28/07 08:31 PM

Do you ever feel you can't make a difference because of the enormity the challenge in front of you. I've found many of feel that way, in our business lives, as well as the difference we can make in the world. I often tell my coaching clients to focus on just three things each day. Take baby steps toward a goal. This will still keep the momentum going in the right direction. In the April Body and Soul Magazine, I loved this article which was titled Do Just One Thing. It included the Great Going Green Checklist. Looking over the checklist and reading the article, … (2 comments)

business planning: Are You Planning 2008 Yet? - 10/23/07 07:03 PM
As the weather starts to turn cool (Yes, even here in Arizona), I am reminded that it is time to assess this year so far and to decide what I still need to do to make this the best year ever. Then my focus turns to the coming year and the to strategies to make it awesome . November is really the perfect time to plan next year since you'll have time to prepare to begin the new year with momentum.
First, though, let's consider that assessment of the present year. The best thing you can do for your business is to spend a couple of hours … (3 comments)

business planning: Check-in at Mid-Year - 07/13/07 09:16 AM
Joeann's Tuesday Tip - July 10, 2007
Summer is hot here in Arizona...and it sounds like in many other parts of the country too! Hope you are either enjoying it or finding ways to keep cool!
I awoke this morning to one of the miracles of the desert-the night blooming cereus plant had bursted forth with 22 sweet smelling blooms. If youon't know about these--they bloom once a year, at night, with a strong, pungent perfume that is glorious and then fade when the sun appears!

The advent of virtual tours is sure a good thing when it is 110 degrees out! I hope … (1 comments)

business planning: The 1st Quarter is Almost Gone! Are you on track? - 03/27/07 02:18 PM
End Of The First Quarter And where are you???? It is hard to believe that this year is 25% over, isn't it? Well, that makes it a good time to do a reality check with your business plan and see if you have started the year on target. So, you did do a business plan for this year, right? Even if it is just a number in your head for the year, you've got a frame of reference. Now, how are you doing?  Are you on target? Are you ahead? Are you behind? The press is giving such mixed reviews to … (11 comments)
