Recently, my wife and I were introduced to the Realtor.com iPad search app. All sorts of wonderful features, however, the one feature that stands out as having the greatest potential is the Area Scout feature. See the first video demo below. The other day, we were with clients and turned this feature on and as we drove through the neighborhood, houses for sale simply popped up and presented themselves to all of us.

HubSpot posted a great article on personalization's effect on marketing. I think the article is a must-read for all of us who take marketing seriously. Among the many points made, here are a just a few I appreciate: #8. "The future is in making websites, products, or experiences personal in a deeply meaningful way." How many of us have bland, non-interactive real estate sites that offer nothing more than a glorified brochure to the visitor. #50. When blogging, make it easer on your readers by highlighting key points in bold, using subtitles, adding bulleted lists, or any combination thereof. I read this blog entry (a great article btw, read it!) and it REALLY needed subtitles. I assumed the article would be good, as the article was featured in ActiveRain's daily email. If it were not for the nod by the AR staff, I think I would have passed on it. I cannot say I'm an expert on the concept of highlighting key points, however, I think I did a relatively decent job on this article. Compare my (5 comments)
