If you are an “older” (meaning over 36 years old ) real estate professional who has been hearing a lot about social media and wants to understand how it will truly benefit your business, I suggest you give this simple exercise a try. It is free, it will take 30 days, and at the end of this easy exercise, you will have a whole new perspective about building a social media plan for your real estate sales business. You see, most people like you just outsource this “social media thing” to your website provider or somebody who “understands it,” and that (8 comments)
linkedin: Why You Should Engage A Social Media Plan In Real Estate - 06/26/11 07:53 AM
If you are a real estate agent that still relies on traditional methods for gaining new and repeat business, who should really consider implementing a social media plan in your business. We all see stories on the internet (and in our email inbox) that have “gone viral” due to the connectivity that social media provides, so why aren’t any of those stories about you? A social media plan provides the linkages that a real estate website needs to reach out to not only customers and website visitors, but more importantly to the friends of your customers and visitors. The viral marketing (8 comments)
linkedin: Social Media Provides Critical Pathways To Your Real Estate Customers - 04/18/11 12:32 PM

The biggest challenge that real estate agents face with social media is deciding which ones the agent (or team) should pursue and participate with as part of the overall plan for driving consumers and sales to their websites. As we (0 comments)

If you are having a hard time understanding how social media is going to interact with your real estate company of the future (or present!), then I have a great analogy that will create a framework from which you can build a social media plan in support of your company marketing plan. I call it the analogy of the mall. To begin this analogy, let me first propose a question. What if you only advertised to people who showed a willingness to interact with your company? What if in fact, they found you first, and then requested your assistance when the (10 comments)
linkedin: Hey ActiveRain, Are you linked in? - 01/30/08 08:06 AM
I usually write about real estate, and specifically the Tallahassee Real Estate Market, so this will be a little bit of a tangent today. A friend of mine who is a very successful Partner at Deloitte recently invited me to "get connected" at a web site called LinkedIn (http://www.linkedin.com/). This is a social website that allows you to connect to people you know, as well as re-connect to people you have known in the past. So far, how hum, right? This sight seems to have been built with the concept of "Six Degrees of Separation" in mind, which Wikipedia explains as "Six degrees (19 comments)
