I was curious about how the current supply of homes for sale in Tallahassee would appear against demand for the past. If you follow the information on the Tallahassee Real Estate Blog, then you know that the current supply of homes in Tallahassee is a little over 12 months worth at current demand levels.
But graphing current supply against previous demand levels show that we are very near “normal” supply (Click Picture To Enlarge).

For those of us who are in the real estate industry, I suspect we watch the housing market a whole lot more closely than the rest of America, even though nearly 70% of the country owns their own home. Having posted my real estate blog article on predicting future home sales, I am encouraged to see the great feedback that readers are providing. For the most part, it appears that readers accept the notion that homes sales correlate to population and population change. However, there are some great points made by readers which challenge the veracity of the model.
