&lt;p&gt;It is not at all unusual for incorrect information to show up on a person's credit report. This is especially true for parents or children with the same name, just a generation change such as Junior, Senior or IIII. You can demand that incorrect information on your report be corrected or removed - you just have to ask in writing. While you are writing, be sure to provide any documentation that you have to back up your claim. Send a letter to each of the three credit repositories that has the incorrect information. There is no need to send a letter to a repository that does not show incorrect information. The credit repository MUST either prove that the information they show is correct or it must be removed - the burden is on them, not you.
