As we enter the busy season the inventory continues to fall as buyers across the county continue to buy at great prices. Properties are changing hands everyday and in some areas prices seem to be stabilizing and we are seeing multiple offers on the better properties. Properties are changing hands everyday and inventory is decreasing across Palm Beach County, Florida. The low prices and low interest rates continue to drive the market. When properties are priced correctly they are selling. Things should pick up even more now that people from other parts of the country are arriving here for a nice winter. Prices seem to be stabilizing here in Boca Raton and while running the comps for several communities the numbers have really improved. Serious buyers are really taking advantage of the low interest rates and the current market conditions to secure their piece of what looks like the last part of one of the best buyers markets in history. Most people feel very comfortable buying at this time. Activity is picking up across the county mainly do to the foreclosure activity as well as sellers adjusting their prices to be in line with the market. The high season is here and people are looking at property and deals are getting done. Below are the numbers for Palm Beach County for December 2008. inventory: Sales are up in Boca Raton and across South Florida - 12/05/08 09:03 AM
Sales are definitely up across all of South Florida and its great to see inventory moving. Though this is welcomed news we need to look at what really is happening. The inventory that is being sold falls under two categories. One is foreclosures and the other are sellers dropping to prices to compete with foreclosures. Sure there are other properties selling as well but those are at greatly reduced prices as well. The regular seller trying to sell right now is really having a tough time going up against these really low prices which is why the sooner these distressed properties get cleared

Palm Beach County inventory is decreasing mainly because of the many properties that have been reduced in price and because of the foreclosure activity. The banks are really liquidating everything under $300,000 very quickly so they can keep up with the new properties they are getting. This price range is seeing a large amount of foreclosures. Luxury single family homes continue to do well and the luxury condo market will pick up now that the season is here.
