I send a newsletter out monthly, via email and USPS, then I post it here in my blog for the many readers who read it here.  I just wanted to tell you all that, because otherwise some of things I say here will seem odd.   :-)

Greetings!

I hope this newsletter finds you all healthy and looking forward to the new year.  2012 is looking good for my family, and for the local real estate market, as you’ll see throughout this newsletter.
Plus – it’s a presidential election year.  … (2 comments)

Hello, Friends & Neighbors!
Do you ever wonder how to choose a Realtor?  Here’s one tip - try ‘Googling’ their name, see what kind of web presence they have!
And if you want to keep an eye on the real estate market, I have a great web site I can set you up on. There’s no cost, and no obligation. But you will have your own password, can set up as many searches as you want, can ‘save’ homes and then you’ll be notified of any changes.
This is useful for folks … (2 comments)

Hello, Friends & Neighbors!
I hope you’re all having a wonderful winter! I know if you live in Colorado and you’ve paid any attention to the weather reports from most other parts of the nation, you’re happy that we’ve had an easy winter.
As we make our way together through January, don’t forget those who aren’t having such an easy time. Even though it’s not the holiday season, food banks still need donations and helpers, and maybe your own neighbors could use a helping hand now and then.

joettas newsletter: 31 Days of December Challenge - December 9 - 12/09/10 12:40 PM
Today I wrote, posted, printed and mailed the December issue of my newsletter. My newsletter has been one of the main sources of clients for me, so I'm going to include a history of how it got to be what it is now, in case anyone's interested.
I've been writing this newsletter since shortly after I started in real estate. My first broker told me about the concept of 'farming', and explained that I should pick a neighborhood with a lot of turn around, be consistent, and don't expect results for two or three years.
Well, I didn't follow her advice … (3 comments)

Hello, Friends & Neighbors!
Hard to believe I’m writing the last newsletter of 2010. It’s been the best year ever for me, as far as real estate closings go. Yet, it’s been sad to see the continued loss of homes occurring. It’s not nearly as bad here as some parts of the country, and for that I’m thankful, but still it’s too many.
The most surprising thing right now is that buyers aren’t out in droves. 30-year fixed rates right now are what we used to think of as ‘teaser’ rates – but … (2 comments)

Hello, Friends & Neighbors!
I am happy to say that I’ve received several bits of input from readers, so this newsletter will have lots of varied information.  Real estate news comes at the end.
Don’t forget to call or email me whenever you have something you’d like to put in the newsletter. At least 1,000 people see it, so you never know who might need to know what you’ve got to say!
I hope you will all have a wonderful November, and Thanksgiving will be a good time for you, friends, family, however you like … (7 comments)

Hello, Friends & Neighbors!

Those of you who live here in Colorado – or who hope to live here – know we have had an exceptionally lovely autumn. Sunshine, blue skies, contrasted by the beautiful colors of the changing leaves.
I’m so happy to live here, and to share it with you all!
I didn’t send out my pre-newsletter email asking for input this month, but I want to remind you for next time - don’t wait for me to ask!  If you think of something for the newsletter, go ahead and tell me … (0 comments)

Local Family Does Good
The first thing I want to do is congratulate the Schultz family on the continued success of Schultz’s Gourmet. And now you can be a part of it!
Schultz’s Gourmet is Colorado’s own gourmet cooking hot sauces and seasonings company. This is not your usual “hot sauce”! Schultz’s Gourmet is a true cooking hot sauce because they use only the finest ingredients (a blend of peppers, fresh garlic and olive oil), which is why so many chefs cook with their sauces and seasonings.
In fact, the chefs … (0 comments)

Hello, Friends & Neighbors!

I hope your summer is going great and you’re staying healthy. I skipped a month writing the newsletter, and it feels like forever!  My year has been extremely busy, the home buyer tax credits were a big part of that I’m sure, but the continuing crazy-low interest rates and great prices are still a big part of the real estate market around here.

Hello, Friends & Neighbors!

I’ve got to say – real estate continues to be a fascinating field to be in as we enter spring 2010!  So many changes, it’s hard to keep up. If you plan to buy or sell a home this year, be sure to hire an agent who is not afraid of change, is able to keep up, and who works hard!
There are 18 homes listed for sale in Arvada between $300,000 and $325,000. But only four of them have at least 1/3 acre lots. And only two of those have … (2 comments)
