old town arvada: Blues Event in Old Town Arvada - 05/27/12 09:59 PM

I've been to a few blues festivals in my time, and this is one of my favorites. I've traveled farther, and been very disapointed. Blues n BBQ for Better Housing Block Party is a lot of fun!
So calm right now, but just wait! Blues n BBQ is coming to Old Town Arvada on July 15, 2012. Noon until 8 pm. Here's the bands playing at Blues n BBQ so far.

old town arvada: Arvada - A Best Place to Live Denver to Boulder - 11/15/11 04:31 PM

Definitely put Arvada on your 'Best Place to Live' list if you're moving to the Denver/Boulder vicinity. One reason - Olde Town Arvada.
Driving through Olde Town Arvada last week, I had to smile about the surprising mix of businesses. One thing I like about historic Arvada is that it's not all brand-new and spiffy, a 'fake' town created by a master plan designed to win awards. Don't get me wrong - I know people love places like that, and I'm glad they're popping up everywhere.
But back to Olde Town!
