What's The Point of Social Media for REALTORS? - 06/29/10 10:01 AM
I wonder if anyone has ever taken the time to fully explain to you what the point of social media is? Most people tell me the point is to be seen/heard/read. After you read the report below you are going to look at the point of social media totally different. As a preview, let me just say this...if you are using it during business hours, it should be about growing your business. When you discover that focusing your social media on growing your business is not as easy as it sounds, you'll probably just want to get out of it. Most (2 comments)
The Closing Line that Closes For You - 06/24/10 12:12 PM
If you're like most agents you get really frustrated when it comes time to close. Either you don't know what to say, don't have the confidence to say it, or the client just isn't ready. So here's what you say... "Let's sign the contract now." "Let's make the offer now." "Let's list your home now." I know a lot of you probably feel butterflies in your stomach just from considering saying something so simple, direct, and easy. As you'll soon discover, and probably agree, you are just saying the words. Yes it's your vocal cords and lips. But it's the (2 comments)
The 5 Power Words to Persuade Your Prospects - 06/22/10 10:47 AM
If you're like most real estate professionals, you're going to quickly realize just how simple, yet effective, using these 5 power words is. I've had many agents tell me that when they started using these 5 single words, they took their prospects from "I'll think about it" to "Let's do it!" The Five Power Words Are:1. Until - "Some people say that until they learn all the ways we market their home." 2. Realize - "I wonder if you realize just how many people will be coming to your open house when you work with me." 3. When - "When you (5 comments)
Time "management" is useless. Your time ends up managing you. If you're like most people, you're about to realize just how big a difference "mastering" your time makes to your bottom line. I've had many agents tell me that mastering their time has resulted in a 400% increase in their productivity. The facts are simple. The average agent spends 15% of their time doing the 6 income producing activities in the real estate industry. The agents who master their time spend 60% of their time on those activities. That's 4x more lead generation. 4x more lead follow-up. 4x more closings. (0 comments)
Dear all new real estate agents,If you're like most people, you want to make money to pay your bills. I've never had an agent tell me they didn't want that. As you'll discover, and probably agree, the only thing you'll ever get paid for is your ability to persuade others. The best agents actually get others to persuade themselves. There is a loooooong list of things you need to know, be, do, not do, and remember so that you can be a good agent. But there's only one thing you'll get paid for. If you're not fully convinced that you (1 comments)
If you're like most agents you value the freedom and flexibility of being in the real estate industry as well as the money you can make. After working directly with 1000's of agents across the country here are the two most important equations I've noticed when it comes to getting what you value out of your job... 1. Freedom and Flexibility = DisciplineIf you want free time, then be disciplined with how you use your time. If you want more money to spend freely, be disciplined with how you spend your money. If you want to take more vacation time be more disciplined (0 comments)

The Science Behind Prospecting If you've never thought about this before, then you will be amazed to find out that there are 12 scientific personality types when it comes to prospecting. As you'll discover, and probably agree, knowing which prospecting personality type you are makes a huge difference in how many referrals you get, how large your database is, and how much cash you make every month. The more you have a strategy geared to your unique personality, the more you'll want to prospect. The more you want to prospect, the more referrals you'll get. The more referrals you get, (0 comments)
It's that time again. The home owner is going to choose between you and another agent. The winner gets to list their home. The loser has to hit the street...frustrated, alone, wanting to cry. You're going to be the winner right? You've made the best case you could possibly make. You showed them all the numbers, listed your accomplishments, and gave them references. If you're working with a buyer, you've given them every bit of statistical evidence, and explained every featured of the home. There's nothing left but to make the offer. Then why do we so often lose? (0 comments)
