The latest housing appreciation/depreciation indexes as provided by the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) showed the following information for 2010 vs 2009, 1st quarter: - United States: -3.07% - * Mountain States: -7.6% - Utah: -8.9% > St George Area: -17.45% > Provo-Orem Area: -13.30% > Salt Lake City Area: -9.91% > Ogden-Clearfield Area: -6.17% * Includes Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona

Single Family Home and Condo sales statistics for the Ogden Valley (Snowbasin / Powder Mountain / Huntsville / Eden / Liberty) and Summit County (Park City / Deer Valley) are shown in the chart below. Average # days on market (DOM) for the 90 day period ending 9/11/2007 decreased for both SFH and Condos in Summit County, while the Ogden Valley market saw DOM increases for both housing types. In the Ogden Valley market, SFH and condo sales volume and price per square foot held steady compared to the previous 90 day period, while Summit County held steady in all areas except a decline in the number of condo units sold. Single Family Home and Condo sales statistics for the Ogden Valley (Snowbasin / Powder Mountain / Huntsville / Eden / Liberty) and Summit County (Park City / Deer Valley) are shown in the chart below. Note: Both markets experienced declines in Single Family Home (SFH) average sales prices (Summit County: -14%; Ogden Valley: -24%) and Sales Price per Square Foot (Summit County: -15%; Ogden Valley: -15%) since my April update. Average days on the market decreased significantly for SFH and Condos in both markets. For the Ogden Valley market, SFH sales volume was 50% greater than the previous 90 day period.
