My simple wish today is for our military Veterans to know that they are appreciated by those of us who did not serve, for whatever reason. I volunteer twice a year with the Heart of America Standdown where we provide a one stop shop for homeless Veterans in the metropolitan Kansas City area. The unfortunate fact is that those 2 words are even used together. Homeless Veterans.
