The Damariscotta Maine housing market saw 22 homes sold during the 2011 year. This was a 57% increase compared to the previous year.  The median price point for the area was 203K – a 25% increase year over year. Through the mid-coastal region inventory has been on the decline.

During 2011 a total of 175 condos were sold in Portland Maine.  This was a 27% decrease in sales volume from the 2010 year. Condos increased in value to a 207K average for this year. This was an 8% gain in value. This year has seen a decrease in available inventory.

The South Portland ME housing market saw 11 homes sold during the month of November 2011. This was a 62% decrease in sales volume compared to last year at this time. The average price for a South Portland home sold in November was 210K, which was a 17% increase compared to October 2011. The average number of days on the market for homes that sold in South Portland was 74.
