Wordless Wednesdays...Pass The Stuffing And Gravy - 06/22/11 10:17 PM
Alright, I really was just kidding, but I am trying to find some humor in this precipitation that has come back around after four consecutive days of good weather. Almost began to seem like a normal Spring/Summer for a bit. Now that the rain is back, I guess I'm feeling like these guys. This photo seems to need a caption. If you have one, please leave it in the comment section! If you would like to know why I chose Seacoast New Hampshire to make my home, click here to email me, and I can make a real convincing argument for

Have You Seen Clouds Like These? - 06/20/11 12:35 AM
Have You Seen Clouds Like These?Last night my Chris and I went out to buy lottery tickets, our twice weekly contribution to our retirement fund Ha ha. Wordless Wednesday...Acadia National Park Mount Desert Island MaineAcadia National Park, located on Mount Desert Island (MDI) in Maine, is a 35,000 acre National treasure consisting of mountains, lakes, ocean and forest. If you have not had the chance to visit, I strongly urge you to make it a vacation destination that you will never forget. "Picnik Show" Create a free slideshow with Picnik! A popular attraction along the Park Loop Road is Thunder Hole. At mid-tide, you will usually find Thunder Hole at it's loudest, when the waves rush into an ocean-carved pocket in the stone. The Bridges of Acadia National Park...Mount Desert Island, Maine - 06/14/11 07:07 AM
The Bridges of Acadia National Park...Mount Desert Island, MaineAcadia National Park, located principally on Mount Desert Island (MDI) in Maine, is a 35,000 acre national treasure consisting of mountains, lakes, ocean and forest. If you have not had the chance to visit, I strongly urge you to make it a vacation destination that you will never forget. During the turn of the century, MDI and its villages of Bar Harbor, Seal Harbor and Northeast Harbor, became the summer play land of the rich and famous, and included the Rockefellers, Vanderbilts, Fords, Morgans, Astors and Pulitzers. They built lavish "cottages," mansions

Sink, Swim Or Float In A Boat...It's All A Matter Of Survival - 06/14/11 06:50 AM
Sink, Swim Or Float In A Boat...It's All A Matter Of SurvivalWell, it was finally time to open the pool over this past week, and we had some extremely windy days. You never know what will blow into the water! Seems this little guy found a way to stay afloat and and beat the heat by climbing aboard a fallen rhododendron flower. If you have a caption for this photo, please leave it in the comment section below! Some recent posts you may have missed: The Seacoast Family Food Pantry...Needs Your Support! Please Put Someone In Your Prayers For Cancer Surgery Tomorrow - UpdateDear friends, I do not ask for many favors, but I know someone who could really benefit from your prayers and well wishes for her cancer surgery tomorrow, Friday June 10th. If you read my series The Month of March...Celebrating The Inner Irish In All Of Us, you may remember meeting my wife's cousins, Michael and Mary Fanning, who live in Ballinamore, Ireland, with their three lovely children. Well a string of major health issues has befallen Mary in the past few years and tomorrow she is undergoing day-long surgery

The Seacoast Family Food Pantry...Needs Your Support! - 06/03/11 09:56 PM
The Seacoast Family Food Pantry...Needs Your Support! When Diane Giese of The Seacoast Family Food Pantry graciously accepted my request to be interviewed, I jumped at the opportunity to meet with her. It is not everyday one gets the chance to interview the Executive Director of the oldest social service agency in New Hampshire. The Seacoast Family Food Pantry began in 1816 assisting families of fishermen and operating under the name of The Ladies Humane Society. Since that time, the agency has had five name changes and five different missions. One such mission, during WWII, was to operate as a day care to

Flight 423...A Memorial Day Weekend Highlight For Pease Greeters - 06/01/11 08:34 PM
Flight 423...A Memorial Day Weekend Highlight For Pease Greeters For most of America, Memorial Day Weekend memories include outdoor barbecues, opening pools, gardening and landscape projects and being with family and friends, to recharge the batteries and get ready for the busy summer season ahead.Although I did spend much of this past weekend on garden and landscape projects, the highlight of this Memorial Day Weekend includes my "Pease Greeter" family and friends, welcoming Flight 423 to Pease International Airport, and meeting our men and women in the United States Air Force, who have made a brief fueling stop in Portsmouth, NH
