Finding a Rural Neighborhood or Home Suitable for Horses in Prescott or Prescott Valley, Arizona - 09/21/11 01:58 AM
I frequently have Buyers who want to live in a rural setting. Sometimes they want to have animals such as horses, dogs or even chickens. These do not generally "fit in well" in Prescott, but they are quite at home in or near the towns of nearby Chino Valley, Dewey-Humboldt, Mayer, Prescott Valley or Williamson Valley.
The focus of this article is the area northeast of Prescott Valley. It is bounded on the west near Poquito Valley Road and on the south by Highway 89A which leads to Jerome, Clarkdale, Cottonwood and Sedona. The area is approximately 46 square miles including … (4 comments)

Government is Run by Those who Show UP, We Must Get Involved or Government will Be Run by the Wrong People! - 09/18/11 09:02 AM
Conservatives have a built in problem:  We prefer to not be involved. We desire that government be limited and to perform only necessary services.
Progressives have a built-in need to be "in-charge." In general they see government as a way of enforcing their ideas. Have you noticed who tends to run for office?
Homeowner Associations Boards School Boards Fire Boards Planning and Zoning Boards Town and City Councils County Supervisors Higher Level Politicians In most instances, I believe the people who show up tend to be "controllers" and try to control in order to make their life circumstances more to their … (5 comments)

Obama and Associates Tried to Take Over the USA One Generation Too Soon: Us Senior Citizens, Old Fogies, Geesers, etc. ARE NOT TOO OLD TO FIGHT! - 09/18/11 01:54 AM
Those of us who are "Baby Boomers" or a little older have not been indoctrinated enough that we lost our values and convictions.
It's all UP TO US to SAVE THE COUNTRY!
Many who are younger and with families to raise are struggling to survive and not paying attention. Children who are now in school are being indoctrinated by the progressives and those who have reached voting age recently have not yet matured enough to understand and evaluate the hype and misinformation that comes from the mainstream media.

Is the TEA Party a "Starfish"? - 09/12/11 10:05 PM
I have just started a very interesting book: The Starfish and the Spider by Ori Brafman and Rod Beckstrom. In this book, the authors contrast organizations with the traditional "top down" heirarchy with the distributed form of organization(s).
If one cuts off the head of a spider [head of the top down organization] it will die. If you cut off an arm of a starfish, it may grow a new arm. The piece of the starfish may become a new starfish.
I have been ostracized by one of our local TEA Parties because I refused to "tow the line" and follow … (20 comments)

Watson Lake and the Granite Dells, Prescott, Arizona - 09/12/11 03:22 AM
I just happened to be in the right place at the right time to catch this photo of Watson Lake in the Granite Dells area in the northeast side of Prescott.

The Peavine Trail is on the old railroad roadbed that has been turned into a public trail. This photo was taken looking west close to sunset from the most extreme easterly point on the lake. The Aerial Photo below shows this pretty well.

The rock formations in the lake photo can be seen in the Aerial Photo.  When I was growing up, we often went to the Witchita … (5 comments)

The SECOND Fall of Communism -- The TEA Parties will be THERE to Make it Happen!! - 09/08/11 06:39 PM
Evidence is beginning to mount that THE PUBLIC is getting fed up with the lies and abuses of power of the current administration in Washington. We are ALL weary of the abuses of power and the cronyism of the present administration in its corrupt practice of catering to the trade unions, especially those who serve in the private sector. More and more of us are becoming aware of the Saul Alinsky methods being used against us and we recognize these techniques as they are being used.
One of the primary forces in the advance of Communism is the United Nations' Agenda … (14 comments)

Doing the Important but not Urgent, Key to Strategic Results for Real Estate - 09/08/11 02:31 PM
A few years ago I read the top selling book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People® by Stephen Covey. Although not one of the 7 habits, my favorite lesson was that of doing the Important but not Urgent.  This means a focus on doing the things that establish a long-term and enduring market position. These tasks have to be taken seriously, or your real estate career will not get any easier. You will be totally consumed in putting out fires rather than being proactive in planning and working to make new business happen on it's own.
When I first started … (1 comments)

Managing Photos and Getting the Most Out of Them - 09/04/11 02:21 PM
Over the years I have accumulated a number of quality photos. I know how to use them in virtual tours and I know how to use them in some of my custom work, but I feel that I am not getting their full benefit.
I know there are some social media applications that may help, but I do not know where to start.
Here are a few things that I would like to accomplish.
I want the photos to be place geographically at the location where the photo was taken. In many cases I have GEO Coordinates for them, but not … (4 comments)

Jobs are a Commodity that can be Manipulated BIGTIME by the Government - 09/01/11 02:49 PM
Why Would You Hire Someone? Jobs are a relationship, not a commodity. by  John Hayward 09/01/2011 11 Comments Jobs are not a commodity that can be manufactured by the government, to be showered upon a deserving populace as gifts.  The Obama Administration always speaks of them in such terms, discussing “job creation” as if the government need only add a bit more water and fertilizer to make the American garden bloom with lush and vital employment.
In truth, a job is a transaction.  The employee sells his labor to the employer.
Why would you hire someone?  The short answer is “because you need them,” but to be … (3 comments)

Obama Administration IS NOT SERIOUS ABOUT JOBS -- Here's Proof! - 09/01/11 02:17 PM
Obama’s DOJ Advises Gibson Guitar to Outsource its Labor The Gibson Guitar saga has taken a sinister turn.
It seems that the Department of Justice wasn’t satisfied with merely raiding the law abiding factories of Gibson Guitar with armed agents, shutting down their operation costing them millions, and leaving the American company in the dark as to how to proceed without going out of business.
Now, according to CEO Henry Juszkiewicz, agents of the United States government are bluntly informing them that they’d be better off shipping their manufacturing labor overseas.
In an interview with KMJ AM’s “The Chris Daniel Show,” Juszkiewicz revealed some startling … (5 comments)
