Two Forsyth County Schools Honored - 10/31/07 10:15 PM
Two Forsyth County Middle Schools were honored this week for having excellent gains and the "Highest Performance" on the CRCT exams.  South Forsyth Middle School and Liberty Middle school had 93% and 92% of its 7th graders met or exceeded state standards in reading.  Only 7 schools in the state were recognized, and two of them being in Forsyth County shows the strength of the Forsyth County school system.  When people are looking for homes to buy, one of the most important factors is how the schools perform, and this will help people who what to sell their home in Cumming.  … (0 comments)

Homes for Sale in Alpharetta Ga, Cumming Ga homes for Sale - 10/25/07 11:07 AM
Right now is a great time to buy homes in Alpahretta Ga and Cumming Ga.  With a lot of homes on the market - selection is great - Buyers have their choice of homes.  Additionally, historically low interest rates and comptetive pricing makes it look like now is a great time to buy.  I see Sellers getting more and more nervious and with the September 2007 Real Estate Sales Report I see why.
According to the Atlanta Journal, Sales of existing homes nationwide decreased in September by 8%.  What seems to have driven the decline are the issues the credit markets have experienced.  I work … (0 comments)

Suwanee Ga - Money Magazines top 10 places to live - 10/19/07 11:32 AM
When Money Magazine include Suwanee Ga in its top 10 small communities in the USA to live, I was not surprised.  I mentioned this weekend when I was showing in a brand new gated community named Turnberry and the Buyers were very impressed.  Part of Suwanee is in Gwinnett County and part is in Forsyth County.  I was showing in the Forsyth County part of Suwanee 0 in Forsyth the Taxes are much lower than Gwinnett and the surrounding counties.  Another Benefit to the Forsyth side is when a homeowner turns 65 the county no longer includes the School part of the … (0 comments)

Lake Lanier – A Great Time to buy - 10/17/07 08:08 PM
See the buoy in the picture below, that shows where the water level usually is.  Lake Lanier is about 12- 13 feet below full pool.  From someone that grew up in Atlanta and has been here since 1973 (except for college), it is a little scary to think of Lake Lanier running out of water.  However, from an investment standpoint I can not think of a better time to buy a Lake Home.  Some homes that usually have the lake in their backyard a mud hole.  Assuming the lake does come back; it seems like a great time to buy a … (1 comments)

Impact of Water Issues in Atlanta - 10/17/07 07:57 PM
I am the scoutmaster at my church and this weekend we camped on Lake Lanier at Shady Grove - right on the lake.  The lake is the lowest I have ever seen it.  I remember 6-7 years ago it was low, but now this low.  It is about 12-13 feet below full pool (which is 1071 ft above sea level).  The impact on homes for sale around the lake can not be under estimated.  There is a saying out now that says the real estate deals of today produce wealth tomorrow.  I can not think of a better time to buy … (0 comments)

Today I start my Blog - I am looking forward to having a forum to discuss the Real Estate Market and what I see going on in Atlanta.  I am sure you will notice I am not the best speller but with Spell check hopefully it will not be embarssing.
 I spent this weekend showing homes in The Manner, located in North Fulton.  What a beautiful community.  My buyers are looking in the 1.5-2.0 million dollar range.  They have plans for the home they want to build but are having trouble finding the right lot - in most communites it will take … (0 comments)
