As a Realtor® working with buyers it is important that I learn as much about you and what your interests are in order to maximize our efforts in finding you the "right" home The process involves a few simple steps before we begin our search:
1. We will meet to talk about what you would like to have in your new home Location Price range Bedrooms Baths Size (square footage) Style (ranch, colonial, etc.) Other amenities 2. Once we establish what you are looking for in a home, I will build an internet portal for you (5 comments)
First impressions are the most important thing in almost every aspect of life. The same is true when people see your home the first time; they either like it, don't like it, or are somewhat neutral. As a seller you want people to have a great impression upon first view; you want them to be able to see themselves living in your home. One homeowner that I worked with followed a plan I set up for him and after he cleared the clutter and made the necessary repairs, said: "Now that all the work is done, I'm not sure I (6 comments)
Do You Use St Joseph to Help Sell Homes? - 12/13/08 03:44 PM
The number of people who subscribe to the concept of having St. Joseph sell thier home is amazing. Grissmere’s, a religious store located near downtown Akron sells St Joseph statues; I’m sure their sales are pretty good. Curiosity often gets me into trouble but on more occasions than not it drives me into a “research frenzy.” I found all kinds of information on the topic but am settling on two videos that appear to tell the story best. So in the interest of brevity, I’ll share them with you. The imbedded video below is a bit humorous.

Thank You Active Rain! - 12/11/08 03:28 PM
No, this thank you is not because I picked up business from Active Rain; it's because of information I've gained and the tons of great reading I've enjoyed in this network. Recently I was showing homes to clients. We had a schedule that I had put together that was fairly tight and most of the homes were occupied. People had to get out of their homes in order to accommodate my clients. At one listing, the selling agent had arranged to meet us at the home to let us in. Well, as circumstances would have it my clients were late for (11 comments)
Can I Trust You - 12/10/08 01:46 PM
Yet another scam "pops up" in our email. You may have seen this one; perhaps not. It is a new twist. Most of the others have come from some foreign national who needs your assistance in moving their millions of dollars or some widow who has unclaimed funds that she needs your help accessing. Or are you a long-lost relative? This is the first time I've seen this one; apparently the originator of this scam feels you'll fall for a serviceman; how low can they go. Notice how they misspelled confidentiality in this one! Dear Pal,I do hope my email meet (14 comments)
School House Humor: Making a Decision to Purchase - 12/09/08 12:02 PM
Before I get into this post, let me give you a little background. I served 31 years as an educator. I am certified to teach elementary (1 - 8) and high school business (7 - 12). During my 31 years in public education I have taught elementary school, middle school, and high school. I got my masters in education administration and served as a principal at the elementary and middle school levels. I also served in central office as a liaison to Summit County Juvenile Court and Director of Pupil Services. Now, putting all that aside, I would like to share (4 comments)
Kids Say and Do the Darndest Things: A Special Ethnic Christmas Gift - 12/09/08 10:25 AM
As an elementary teacher it was not uncommon to get Christmas gifts from your students on the last day of school before winter break. The Christmas season is a time when children become excited about having time off school, celebrating the holidays, and especially look forward to Christmas day. Our classroom was filled with excitement during the final week before our winter break. We had all kinds of fun things that tied into our normal lessons as well as some things that didn't. This was a time for fun and games (most of them were educational) and all had a good (7 comments)
