Districts must meet all AYP goals in order to be in compliance with Federal standards for education including subgroups as well as the overall student population.  The AYP goals that school districts must meet include the following:
 (The AYP goals are based on the percentage of students in the district who pass different tests [achievement/OGT])

The performance index measure is one of several measures used to determine school building and district Report Card Designations.  The possible designations and the performance index score for each is listed below.
Performance  Index Score           Report Card Designation  
    0-69                       Academic Emergency 70-79                     Academic Watch 80-89                     Continuous Improvement 90-99                     Effective 100-120                  Excellent The performance index is temporarily used as a district's growth index and may help a district earn a higher rating even though they did not meet the standard solely based on the number of indicators met.

There are key elements that you will find at the top of your school's local repo

rt card.  They include:
Your districts "Performance Index" score The number of state indicators met out of 30 Whether or not your district met Annual Yearly Progress (AYP) Your district's rating Your district's "Value-Added" measure  You will find each of these measures in the various sections of your school district's report card.
