land in black belt of alabama: This is why People Buy Hunting Land in the Black Belt of West Alabama. - 03/31/10 01:23 PM

Why buy hunting land in the Black Belt region of West Alabama? Because that is where the big deer and wild turkeys are!
This deer is a great example of how big white-tailed deer can grow in our area. This big buck was taken during the late rut in January 2010 by my brother-in-law, Chris Hutlzler, at Foothills down in south Perry County, Alabama. This non-typical 11-point scored 159 3/8", and had grown-up in the soybean fields on this 3000 acre farm / hunting outfit.
The Black Belt of west Alabama, and particulary Perry County, is world-renowned for its outstanding hunting. People … (7 comments)
