Homes Located on Bethy Creek at Lake Livingston The name Bethy Creek is deceiving. Often times, buyers will call and say, "I don't want to live on a creek. I want to live on the lake." THIS is a large body of water, not a small creek or cut. It is a protected cove off of the Trinity River and it is part of Lake Livingston. Neighborhoods that surround Bethy Creek are:

This is Pop (aka Thomas May). When I arrive at Ella Smither, Pop is almost always by the front door... reading the newspaper. Then, when I leave, he always tells me to "be careful out there... traffic's bad... not worried about you... it's those others."

Today TPM (The Princess Mama) and I paid it forward with a little color at Ella Smither in Huntsville.  After reading Cinnamon's blog, You Can Make a Difference, I was reminded that I have not been to see my girlfriends at Ella in too long. Here we are at beautiful Cherokee State Park in Keys, Oklahoma. We have traveled here for the wedding of our niece, Rosemary Rushing. Today is my wonderful mother-in-law's birthday! Nothing like an Italian Cream Cheese Cake (ICCC) from Mayflower Bakery in Huntsville, Texas to celebrate a birthday! Look how beautifully they dolled the cake up with fall leaves and fabulous colors!

I am feeling SUPRA cool because I am one of the first agents in the Huntsville Board to have the new Supra Fob for the iPhone.
This nifty little gadget can be programmed to open lockboxes that are part of the Houston Board of Realtors as well as the Huntsville Board of Realtors.

Tonight we attended the Pregnancy Care Center dinner at Sam Houston State University. It is considered the center's largest fundraiser. I have never attended and can tell you that it was an eye opening event. They had the usual things; music (which was excellent), dinner (also excellent) , testimonies (lots) and a call for our help. Of all these wonderful things, let me tell you about the testimony that truly touched my heart.

walker county: CASA Speak Up For Kids 5K Run - 10/02/10 06:05 PM
The president of the Walker County Lions Club called my husband, who is the president of the Riverside Area Lions Club and asked if we could help their club hand out water at 5K run in Huntsville today. Of course he said that he would and that I would too! I am sooooo.... glad that he did! What a great time we had.
Runners showed up at 8 am and it was over by 9:30 am. We cheered them on and passed out fruit and drinks.

I look forward to Fair on the Square every year! We have attended Fair on the Square since 1994 and can not express how much fun it is.  There is live music, an antique car show, face painting and games for kids, a quilt show, and all kinds of wonderful food vendors.

Welcome to Carolina Cove on beautiful Lake Livingston. I lived in this wonderful community for 13 years and LOVED every minute of it. So why did we move? The house out grew us. Once we were "empty-nesters", we couldn't see the purpose of heating, cooling, maintaining and paying taxes on a home we didn't need.
